I am not sure of any apart from Davis. As far as whether they could be free transfers this could prove interesting. I am not sure TUPE was set up with this scenario in mind, I think it was more set up so that existing employees could not be fired or face worse terms or conditions if their company was bought out/replaced and they stayed in their existing jobs. As Rangers are being liquidated than I am not sure where this leaves any of the employees of the club.

Didn't realize Davis had played 91 games for Aston Villa then 22 games for Fulham, I've always quite liked him so wouldn't mind signing him at all

I'm pretty sure it leaves them unemployed! TUPE is a one way benefit, set up as you say for employer protection. All legal interviews I've read in the media seem unaminous "The Rangers FC Ltd" have nothing to stand on, other than fear of protracted legal battles and a large antognised fan base. Green just wants to sell them anyway to make a profit, so why would the players not secure a signing on fee themselves.

Although I'm sure a few will exercise their rights under TUPE to stay on large contracts in Division 3, sending the newco back into administration. Look at Kanu and Ben Haim at League one Pompey, still bleeding them dry!

Pretty awful given it was paying players lots of money that drove Rangers plc to tax evasion and irrational borrowing in the first place.

If they end up with no players and no league then perhaps they should become a ceremonial side. They could select players from across British clubs to play friendlies at Ibrox against top European and English sides. After a few years the SPL would cave I reckon.

bigmike These are players who are turning their backs on their boyhood team.. Not sure many fans would want to buy players with that loyalty.

Lulz. Knew I'd find this comment somewhere on the thread.

Really, what they're doing is no more worthy of reproach than insisting on a relegation release clause.

Or did someone ITK tell you differently?

You know I am sure I read somewhere that goalkeeper Stefan Klos was on almost as much as david Beckham was at the same time. Clueless!!!

Sone Aluko is among one of the players refusing to sign a 'New Rangers FC' contract. For free I think he'd definitely be worth it.

Mr Angry Why don't we get a couple on free's then immediately sell them on for big fee's?

A sort of footballing "Homes under the Hammer"?

These are players who could be playing in Div 3 next season.

I don't think their is too much loyalty in football except from supporters, although there will obviously be a few exceptions. As others have stated I would like to see Steven Davis at Reading, Naismith would be a decent signing too. Kyle Lafferty can fcuk off though, he is a cnut!

Steven Davis signs for Southampton. Should prove a very good addition for them.

Sone Aluko is seriously shit. All of the good ones are gone to be fair. Naismith would have been great, as would Steven Davis. Shagger (McGregor) is good too but as previously stated we dont need him. No one else of interest has rejected a contract yet. Apparently if they get accepted into the SFL 1st they will allow certain players to keep their 20 grand contracts, which surely defeats the purpose?

Was kinda thinking that myself, my son lives near Glesca' and is an avid Rangers supporter and makes the sojourn to Ibrox stadium (Soon to be a Tesco Supermarket or The Prestigious Ibrox apartments with prices from under £200,000 as I tell him) on a semi regular basis and he doesn't know as much as this person seems to.... i.e.Aluko is shit...hmmm, user name is a bit of a clue I guess...
