Barry the bird boggler Also given that we sold Gylfi and then had to change the way we played, getting him back would mean changing it all over again and the entire squad dynamic would presumably need extra tweaking/expense to accommodate.

I detest that argument.
1) We need some new players anyway.
2) The change wasn't / wouldn't be very drastic
3) We probably need to change our game plan to cope in the PL anyway.

1. Yes, we do need some new players.
In order of priority:
-right back
-striker
-central defender
-left back
-left winger
-defensive midfielder

SHORT AND CURLY Shame if he has to sign for Spurs!
Probably the most repulsive club and fans in the Premier League.
All my admiration for Gylfi will fly right out of the window if he signs for those numpties!
Very, very disappointing
Suppose dosh talks

Why??!!
This type of post is really annoying.
1.We have no details of any deal offered to Gylfi
2.As has been stated Spurs are probably the most attractive club on offer based on current finishing positions of the last few years and likely finishing positions for the next few years
3.if you can get all that and extra money then good luck to you, but like i say no one knows the details of any offer
I am one of those who loves Gylfi but will certainly lose no respect for him regardless of his decision.
As for yourself I have no admiration for you but with a remark like that if I did it would fly out the window as you put it!
