ZacNaloen That's a case of being given information and reading more into it than there is.
He saw that these clubs have been granted cat 1 status and Reading weren't on there. Then extrapolated from there (i reckon)
This is the problem with Twitter, there are lots of people getting snippets of information and putting 2+2 together to make 5.
The information might not be wrong but the way it's interpreted can be, and there are lots of people on twitter, and on here, who seem to be swapping accurate snippets and building up a potentially inaccurate picture.
I get the odd bit of information at times, which I keep to myself because it's given in confidence and really is just 'shop floor gossip' from within the club that might or might not be totally accurate. I know that every company I've worked for has a grapevine which is sometimes right, but quite often wrong.
On the Fordham issue, it's all too easy to break gossip on twitter as a faceless fan, but when your a journalist who's job is to sell papers, you don't bite the hand that feeds you and most people who buy the Post do so for the quotes from the players and staff. If he lost their confidence by running his mouth off like the twitterati he'd be out of a job pretty sharpish so he has to be relatively conservative in what he puts to print.
