That looks like more than a side panel. STAR said fans would be happier this summer with regards to hoops all the way around, so it can't be that shirt... can it? Hope not.

Remember the kit we had back in 2001 with the badge in the centre of the chest? Well looks like this one is exactly the same except that it has a v neck and a red shoulder panel/patch on the right hand side with the puma logo. Sounds frightful!

Expecting the away kit to be a horrible colour yellow with one blue bar across the front.

IIRC Kes is yet to offer us a designing including a red shoulder patch for the puma logo... So even in his 15 attempts, he's still not got it right.

As with every new kit, the previous years away becomes third choice, but due to the colours we have, it will never be used.

Red? Really? And personally I'm not a fan of the central badge. Ah well, will be saving £40 this year (and the player names and badges prices have gone up too)

So, in summary, surely its the same, but with a different neck, a different shoulder patch, a different badge location and by the looks of it a different layout of the first hoop compared to the shoulder patch.

So apart from not being the same as that shirt, its the same?

I would say the red stripe is more of a very large sponsor/advert for Puma... their core colours are white puma on red background. Hope they paying more for that!!! soon we will be going the way of the french teams whos kits look more like a F1 car!!!
