You have to ask, who designs these things?

And who, at the club, chooses these designs?

Ups and Downs
robinsfriday Without all the Photoshopping

Why is the white bit at the bottom not as long on the long sleeve shirt? If its because it's a smaller size then puma should realise the effect smaller sizes will have on massive bands. This is the first shirt that I've thought was terrible.

I'm presuming this is due to the sizing.

I often get youth XS and they normally miss off the bottom hoop. So I'm guessing my adults S will look like that.. Gutted really

I think I'll pass judgement once I see it on me rather than on a mannequin. Early thoughts are so, so. I prefer the white shorts from last season. It looks marginally better below. I just don't know yet. Will let it marinade for bit.

WOW What a suprise! Everyone slating the new kit.

If it wasnt different and unique i.e Red blaze and chunky hoops and badge in the middle you would all be saying how the new kit is boring and 'the same'
and its not like walsall because then we were in div 2.

We are in the Premier league, just enjoy it! Youll all love the kit in about 3 weeks!

Spirit of Elm Park Just comparing this kit with last seasons....

Similar in that both have a shoulder flash. Remove the underline from last years flash and colour the remainder red.

Badge will be at the same height......but recolour the hoop white. Thats the top of the kit sorted.

The beginning of the first hoop will then be a bit lower than Jays very good attempt.

Spacing of the logo shows hoops to be a lot bigger than last years....a lot!

I'm still of the belief there could only be room for 2 hoops guys.

I'll take my bow now.
Really wish I had been wrong.

Definitely a fan of the away kit though, think it's great, though not too sure about all yellow.. Perhaps blue shorts and / or socks would have been better?

For those of us with longer memories, the home kit is more reminiscent of the Kerry Dixon era, and yellow was our away kit back in the days of Robin Friday.

It does make me wonder how (other than maybe last years) they consistently come up with such ugly designs. ANY of Jay's proposals would be streets ahead of this shite.

Looks better in the "dream the impossible pic" but it looks like they went with bands rather than more hoops to accommodate sponsor name!

Horrible horrible horrible. Away kit looks better so I think I'll run with that for the kids. Looking forward to 2013/2014 and another attempt at a home kit.

Never is my life have I heard fans of any club moaning about their new kit looking too traditional, or lacking in "blazes" or any other such crap.

You don't happen to work with people involved in choosing this kit by any chance?

and its not like walsall because then we were in div 2.

that's like saying Arsenal's stadium doesn't look like Benfica's, because Benfica's is in Portugal.

I agree there, but would also have looked much better with white shorts. On the players, much of that lower white hoop will be tucked into the shorts, making the kit look very blue indeed.

Even this one by Jay is better than the real thing:

The sad thing is, most of Kes' would too.

Am clearly in a minority of one - think the home kit is fine, at least we have 'hoops' but not s keen on the poncey red shoulder flash.

Away kit is a bit Sunday morning running around with a hangover..... but then I did have my hopes raised for a blue and yellow or red and yellow hoops.

That's a real shame - don't like the Home or Away kit. Had the Away kit had a thick blue band I think it would have looked great. Still, who are we to dispute what the club wants - we're only the ones they want to buy it!! How difficult is it to canvas fans from their database and ask them their input when coming up with a design? The fans are never going to agree 100% but the club could, at least, get an idea of what they'd like.

Oh well - I'll reserve final judgement until I've seen it in the flesh - but can't see me buying it tbh.

Keeper's kit is a lime green affair with grey bar across the chest. Presumably there must be an away kit for the keeper as well as it could look a bit dodgy with the yellow away strip.
