attacking midfielder

which attacking/creative midfielder would you like to see at the mad stad next season? we need more creativity in the midfield and more goals from the midfield.

He's bit more more like a centre mid rather than holding, but not primarily creative either. Think Harper, maybe.

Attacking midfielders are a luxury you can't afford in a 4-4-2.

Doubt we'll sign any.

were probably not going to be playing exclusively 4-4-2 next season. well be playing 4-5-1 a lot too. if we play 4-5-1 were going to need a good solid attacking midfielder.

If we don't have the players available to play a certain formation, we won't play it.

BM is a pragmatist and will play to the players' strengths, this is what Rodgers couldn't do here.

I happen to agree with USA_Loyal_Royal that I would like to see us pick up an attacking midfielder. But we still have to get another CB to provide the depth we need, which is a higher priority than another midfielder right now, and possibly another striker. I do think the team is planning to use Guthrie in the attacking midfielder role even if he was used differently in the recent past. But I think we will pick up either an attacking midfielder or another striker to bolster the attack. I have a feeling whatever they settle on will be a late signing after they've had a chance to evaluate who we currently have on the roster during the preseason.

i can see that happening. we didnt get alfie until a couple of games into the season. chances are we are going to fill the priority positions on defense before we boost our offense.

I think our midfielder transfer business had been concluded now. I expect any new signings to be a CB and a RB.
