They want a reported 6m euros. If we're haggling hard for the unproven Sigurdason, how the hell do you expect us to pay that for him??

I though Fae was a good signing! Well he was very injury prone, agressive, sh*t and a bad football..And we made a profit on him..Very good find McDermott and Hammond

According to The Mirror:
Reading boss Brian McDermott has made a shock £4million move for French starlet Geoffrey Kondogbia.
Giant midfielder Kondogia starred for his country's under 19s against England in this summer's European championships in Estonia.
Negotiators from his club Lens flew to England yesterday to sort out a deal with the Royals for the 19 year old who has been watched y several top premier league clubs.
Reading plan to bring Kondogbia back from the tournament once France's competition is over and tie him down early next week.
Kondogbia and his pals lost to England but are in the semi-final against Spain today-with Reading hoping they can agree a fee before the match starts and his admirers increase.

According to that it seems like he is a certain to join us.

This is exactly the kind of signing I would like us to make, invest in a like for like replacement for Ledge who has the potential to go on and become a real star. Exciting times, hopefully this one is true!

Agreed, this type of transfer I find more exciting than the Rhodes and Defoe's of this world. Typical Reading signing just taken up a notch that's all, if we are competing with big European clubs for promising youngsters then I'm happy. Obviously we need a bit of top level experience such as the like of that we have already signed aswell.

Was just coming on here to start a thread on this guy...

Heard by a bit of a random grapevine, my housemate from last year is in Estonia after blagging a scouting pass for my uni's football team, pretty sure they have 0 intention of scouting and more of a holiday tbh. On monday he text me to say he sat next to BMac in the ground for a Estonia youth game v France - I took it as nothing since he spelt it Bryan anyway but hes just text me since to say it was this player they were watching. He is probably putting BMac'c attendance together with the stories appearing today but at the least we can say Brian+1 has seen him play.
