Silver Fox Presumably the FA will now complete their own investigation into Terry's conduct?

I think they'll just use the court case and decide not to take any action - quite right, too.

'greed, he's been found not guilty in a court of law so why would the FA find any differently?

Both Terry and Ferdinand have brought the game into disrepute by their childish abusive name-calling, so the FA might as well stick something on the both of them.

Well that’s a bit pathetic given I posted during the Suarez affair that Terry should be found guilty of no more than ‘disrepute’, but carry on m8.

By all means ham it up as usual TBM, but when I've said this case shouldn't have been brought, and he's been found not guilty, I'm not sure what road you're going down.

Will both players have some sort of charge against them for foul and abusive language as the FA want them to all show respect..

I accept there would hardly be any players left to play if they banned everyone who used such language though!

cmonurz Just my take on how this will pan out.

The police investigation might be the best thing that could happen for Terry. I would imagine the burden of proof to be higher for a criminal charge than for an FA censure, and I’d venture straight away that there will be ‘insufficient evidence’ to prove that Terry ‘racially abused’ (doesn’t this imply malice and intent?) Anton Ferdinand. Once the police investigation is dropped, the FA will have enough space to say ‘it’s been investigated and there is no case to answer’, and Terry gets away with it.

Na in fairness to you cmonurz, you did say this ^^ back in November

FFS. why on earth would the CPS not want to prosecute in a case where they are not confident of a conviction, compared to a case where they are confident of conviction. Oh, forget minor crimes being taken to Court, murders and rapes are much more important so lets only do them.

Your CPS boys took one hell of a beating, are you watching Ian Royal, are you watching........ 1-0 to the utter fuktards maybe.

Yeah, it's the first time the CPS took something to Court, confident of a conviction (or thinking it was i the public interest to do it), and lost.

Big Ern As long as Terry says 'I aint a racist m'lud, i've got black friends innit' he is bound to get off.

Seems it worked with A Cole's cameo appearance.

I should really be a QC.

Not strictly true, he LOL'd at someone else tweeting that.

I'm guessing it was meant as a sarcastic exclamation

Ideal John Terry is likely to be on the receiving end of a few rash challenges this year.

What's different to normal ?
None of the current case has made his name any different. Remember, despite his defence claiming he's never done anything like it,he's already een sent off for racially abusing Ledley King (someone he claims is a friend, by the way)
