USA_Loyal_Royal in a few years time if this deal was emerging we could probably have gotten him. who knows if well go in for another striker now.

Agree. In a few years time he will be close to 33 and a much more realistic target.

12 goals in the championship doesn't mean 12 goals in the prem, especially seen as ALF will be 1 further down the pecking order now.LoyalRoyal22KDRF You lot are deluded both ways. Firstly he's a class act and would guarentee us 10-15 goals which could potentially keep us up. Which secondly means, we aren't getting him. None of our strikers could get 10-15 in chamionship let alone prem.
Poor, un-educated comment
Le Fondre got more than 10 goals last season, also if Roberts had of played for us all season, i think he would have aswell

ALF - 2011/12 Championship - 32 apps, 12 goals.
Church - 2009/10 Championship - 37 apps, 10 goals.
Jason Roberts - 2011/12 Championship - 17 apps, 6 goals - definitely capable of 10 - 15 on that form.
2004/05 Championship - 45 apps, 21 goals
Noel Hunt - 2010/11 Championship - 33 apps, 10 goals
2008/09 Championship - 37 apps, 11 goals
Pavel Progebnyak - 2011/12 Premier League - 12 apps, 6 goals - well capable of 10 over a season.
Still, in all ways other than anything resembling facts, it's an excellent point well made.

Wasn't talking about Pog was talking about last season. So talking about last season, all but one of your facts were irrelevant, excellent point well made.

Friday's Legacy The Sky Sports interview was interesting when asked about Defoe. Brian confirmed the player he hoped to bring in next week in addition to Mariappa was from over here and not abroad. The reporter then said he wouldn't be doing his job properly if he didn't ask for a name, and McDermott then responded by saying he wouldn't be doing his job well if he told them... Sky then asked if the player in question was Defoe, which brought a rather coy smile from Brian, and said he was a Tottenham player...
