Nah, they're looking for someone to be on the wing.
Well you could say that he's at the TAIL end of his career.

Big Foot Heard a rumour today he's set to sign for Eastleigh
The EFC Phantom Tue Jul 10, 2012 10:21 pm Re: Brian Howard training with Eastleigh?
Brian is a good friend of mine and has been for nearly 10 years, we were chatting about pre season and he was keen to come in and do some work himself during the close season. He has helped run and worked out in some Football related fitness sessions with me, and has even participated in the first week of pre season last Saturday.
The boys really stepped up to the challenge of working with a pro during our fitness and small sided games. His manner with the boys was just a pleasure to watch, always willing to give the players advice and get at them when they didn't work hard enough. He also commented on the players ability levels and was impressed with the standard.
He has past on some great knowledge and experience to everyone including myself, the margins of improvement, what it takes to make it in the pro game and the expectations of a pro.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Brian for giving up his time and I know he will be watching our lads with some interest this season.

He lives in Winchester so hes probably just keeping fit with them - thats the problem on a free, its hard to maintain your fitness. I'd imagine this is even more difficult if you barely played for 2 years, and even more so than that if you are Brian Howard.
Edit: Just found this - sounds like a real good pro, fits the Reading mould. Sign him up!The EFC Phantom Tue Jul 10, 2012 10:21 pm Re: Brian Howard training with Eastleigh?

IdealToon Toon Blue army Brian's attitude and fitness levels are excellent contrary to what many think on here, he'll do well at a league 1 club going for promotion.
He's fat and lazy. Get over yourself.
