Wonder if Bracknell will be able to avoid the bottom 2/3/4 places this season....

It's good to see that Henley Town will still be running. I thought they'd just about folded but looks like they've got fresh blood in to almost start again.

.... Not sure where fresh blood has come from -I believe Tuttle has skipped off to H.Wintney with a few of last seasons' squad - haven't dug around to find out where Roach and 'Skittles' have moved to if anywhere?

PS Ta for they title change :)

Understand they are moving up the pyramid and now taken over at Thatcham Town.

Indeed so - just checked the Kingfishers's site Nev & Martin have gone there with a few other HW players - also noticed both Allaway's (Ricky & Shaun) are in the squad there now.

ex Royal Jason Bowen scores for Llanelli in their Europa League second qualifying round game 2-1 defeat against Finnish team KuPS.

Just thought you should know that Chelseas european opposition is being formulated up already

Some changes announced already for local FA Cup Extra Preliminary ties around w/e 11th August....

Friday 10th Evening KO

Ascot Utd v Sandhurst Town
.... winners away to Bishops Cleeve (up above Cheltenham)

Sunday 12th Afternoon

Wokingham & Emmbrook v Camberley Town @ Larges Lane
.... winners at home to Chalfont St Peter

I'll add any more in as i find them - :)

...disappointingly the official FA site is not up to date with these yet.

...Snippet of news re CCL Fixtures - slightly held up waiting for Isthmian/Southern League, due to a number of groundshare agreements, I think - but the CCL have issued Guernsey's fixtures for the first 2 months or so - First away match:

Tuesday 7th August at Krooner Park - Camberley Town.

It could be because the FA havn't been told yet but there is horse racing on the straight mile at Ascot so the match can't be played on Saturday. Not much chance of repeating last years 1149 attendance.

Couple more changes for 'local' FA Cup ties w/e Aug 11th (now showing along with a few other northern ties moving on the official FA site - haven't spotted which one is the featured Cup 'kick-off' tie as per Ascot v Wembley last season where the 1150 odd attended):-

(Still miffed about missing out on the 1 free burger per adult deal - my "starvin' get" of a daughter got the free one (mine) and they weren't selling any additional one's: would've blagged an extra ticket on the way in if I'd known! :| )

... anyways 1 more brought forward to the Friday Eve (10th)

Wootton Bassett Town v Calne Town 19:45 KO

... and two moved to Sunday PM (12th)

(both 15:00 KOs)

Highworth Town v Corsham Town
GE Hamble v Whitchurch United

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
...first few weeks worth of Hellenic & Wessex fixtures are out now and the Southern League's should be out later this week. Will post a full league preview much nearer the time and might sling a few choice Pre-Season friendly games up for this coming w/e.
Actually 'broke my duck' last Saturday 8) - bit damp but saw a decent contest down at Hartley Wintney v Penn & Tylers.
Reading Town's first six fixture have been released. As I'm now (un)fortunately within short walking distance of Scours Lane I shall perhaps attend the odd game or two. It should be an interesting season with a new management team in place and Colin Millard (perhaps the clubs most successful manager of recent times) returns as Director of Football for a third spell at the club.
Tues 7th Aug - A v Whitney Town
Sat 11th Aug - H v Newport Pagnell Town (F.A. Cup Extra Preliminary Round)
Tues 14th Aug - H v Holyport
Sat 18th Aug - A v Wantage Town
Tues 21st Aug - H v Slimbridge
Mon 27th Aug - A v Shrivenham
.. do they play in Houston? 8)
..Oh and welcome to the board and the 'Anorak' thread by the way - I'll let someone else provide the usual 'F*** O** N*****' greeting!
... that's if you've not already got it on another post?
RTFC may even have a 'home' friendly this Sat vs Hayes & Yeading Ressies - presumably at Scours Lane but might be worth checking, as a lot of sides are trying to preserve their main pitches by playing elsewhere or using their 'training pitches', where they have them. :)
And I echo FoC's welcome to the group who can not be described as having anoraknophobia. Enjoy Scours Lane and remember that there are worse grounds out there. Football can be fun at Step 5 :lol:
OOPS :oops: :oops: :oops: some duff info there - must be taken from a posting elsewhere that's well out of date - may still be a game of sorts at Scours but RTFC 1sts are supposed to be AWAY @ Westbury Utd tomorrow.
I'm very sorry to hear that you didn't get a burger as they were undoubtedly the best burgers I have ever tasted (Yes I had two) :lol:
I'm more miffed that Wembley subsequently picked up that sponsorship deal with Budweiser after we grafted for 2 weeks in the lead up to that match and all they had to do was turn up and play and get half of everything.
