I knew about this days before anyone here did. It came to me in a dream. If it happens I win. Thanks.

Having a hard time placing him in recent encounters between us and Watford, but their supporters seem to really rate him so pleased with the impending signing.

TheSiege Marriapa will be a Reading player by the time the squad leave and Simpson is a done deal although Medicals and Newcastles pursuit of Debuchy has slowed it! Given that Simpson has been an ever-present for NUFC, medical should not be a problem and it is now being thought that the Simpson deal may happen before the Debuchy one!

Simpson a done deal? You're that much ITK are you?

So I go to the official website, and read the official thread, and see that officially a chap called Eddie has picked him up and taken him some where... And that's the latest...

What part of that means it's off, or have I missed a thread some where else? Please be A LOT more specific... Like provide a link...

I refuse to believe that Brian is even interested in signing Marriapa until I've read his transfer intentions in September's issue of Reading Matters.

I don't know anything about the guy - good signing?

Definitely needed to bring a CB in though!

Same. I wouldn't have a clue who he was if he came up to me outside the Butts Centre and said "Hi, I'm Adrian Mariappa" then proceeded to hoof my skull into the car park.

Researching match reports on Hob Nob at least showed he played home and away against us last season, but to be fair Elton John could have played for Watford in the game at the Madj, so feeble were we that day. And the away game at Vicarage Road I was blotto and can't recall how I got home never mind the game itself. 'Mariappa the Mystery Man' I am already calling him.

Not criticising at all but it always amazes me that people don't watch/notice the opposition players when watching a game of football.

I think the issue is, Rouge, how little I really care about such things these days.

It is funny how much you concentrate on your own team isn't it? Even in a friendly - I went to the game on Saturday with a Wimbledon fan, on the way home I could barely remember any of the players from AFC that he was talking about, and he hadn't noticed any of the stuff about Reading that I was talking about.
