Cripple Creek My sources tell me the Pog can run a mile carrying Bernard Manning, Miriam Margoles and Nicholas Soames on his tongue.

Easy, he's not as heavy as he used to be.

They were moderately funny before the official twitter feed started trying to get involved like an embarrassing uncle who tries to be 'down with the kids'.

Does anyone else have the thought in the back of their mind that the Pog will probably turn out to be rubbish whilst someone like Noel Hunt or Karl Sheppard turn hero to keep us up?

its the Reading way

I think it's more likely that the Pog will turn out to be rubbish, whilst Noel Hunt and Karl Sheppard will also be rubbish.

I think it's more likely that Simon Church will turn out to be a great hairdresser.

Does anyone know if he speaks English? I would have thought that, if he does, there would be an interview on Reading player by now.

If not, is he going to rapidly try to learn, or has Brian picked up some Russian?

This was taken from the beginning of the year so presumably he's in the process of learning.

Excuse my pessimism but isn't the Pog supposed to have a really dodgy knee? What are the chances he's injured quite early in the season and who scores goals for us then? He's rather expensive to be sitting on the Physio's bench.

Reading will have given him what is known in the trade as a medical.

^^^ I do get this concept, meaning obviously they consider him to be ok at the moment. My point is that once you have had an injury you are always more vulnerable, surely - Michael Owen must have passed medicals in the past for instance, but he is repeatedly injured. My worry is that he comes out 'all guns blazing' with all the hype and injures himself, leaving who? I suspect Roberts isn't going to score many in the PL. Love Alf, but he seems to produce his magic coming on as a sub. I know many people are saying on here that we don't need another striker, but I think we do.So excited for next season can hardly wait. Pathetic.
