It looks good, just as long as you don't try and do anything, such as maybe find out any information that should be on the site. Nothing at all, it seems, about the two games played today.

Actually, I say it looks good. What I mean is they have some nice backgrounds. The rest is a cluttered mess.

Totally hideous. A complete jumbled uncoordinated mess.

One minute a page works the next it does not showing different content.

Total farce.

Apparently there is a mobile version, tried to load it on my Android phone and tablet and I just got redirected to the main site with a big grey overlay meaning I couldn't do anything.

Thinking about the logistics of the club actually creating their own website.

£30,000 a year for an in-house web designer
Create an agreement with BBC Berks to stream commentary through the website in exchange for broadcast rights for the next x years
Get somebody from the Facebook/Twitter team to film and sort the highlights of games and put them on the OS (can't be worse than the current Reading Player highlights)

Surely it would cost less than the abortion of a service they pay for now?

TBM site doesn't even work on the iPhone.........

The mobile site stopped working on my Android phone a couple of days ago too. Today when I try to go to the mobile site it is redirecting me to the main site which isn't working well.

I really am quite shocked at how shit it is.

Maybe it's just an interim while the real design work is being done, but if that is the finished article someone needs their goolies removing.

Terrible QA, I've found a few errors already after a couple of minutes.

e.g.
- "Powered By" field is blank on all except the first two main options.
- Menu item when highlighted splits into two lines because it's too long. (Commercial - Advertising & Sponsorship)

Several other just as bad.

It's a bit of an assault on the eye balls isn't it and will take some getting used to. It does though still have a wide range of useful features and I like the new form guide. Much prefer the old site though TBF.

To my eye, it's too visually busy. And it also seems too slow even on a decent internet speed.

What an absolute cock-up! Nothing more can be said really. Just a shambles.

I use it rarely, but now will just avoid at all costs.

As a non-techie I've given it a few days to 'settle down' and to see, as with the BBC change, if I get use to it. However:

- takes ages to load.. not just the entry page (which was always slow), but each link you click-on.
- with my Notepad size laptop screen the text boses cut off part of the text.
- too many background images make it hard to find what you want.. all too busy
- it sometimes scrolls sideways, at other times you have to scroll down to find what you want.
- the news page.. I just want a long list of headlines to pick from, rather than 3/4 images

As a half-glass full guy with all things RFC, I find it hard to say.. but this is very poor. They've also put-up the 'Player/World' fee (email debacle), not that I've navigated my way there yet, don't have the time

Well the News section has been amended slightly, with a lot of these little blocks of news now down the right hand side, which is a lot easier to look at and navigate.

I hope they work on it a bit more though. If they sort the format out it's actually pretty close to looking quite good.

It is much, much too "busy".
The revolving sponsor ads at the bottom of the page are distracting. I know the site needs advertising on it, but making the ads more eye-catching than the content is no way to survive long-term.
It really is a mess. I hope they sort it out soon, because otherwise I shall not be using it any more.

You'd think the club would be jumping on this thread quicker than the one about the Fan's Forum!!!

The website surely is a bigger gaff than a few comments said by BMcD...

Only just seen this, largely because I rarely go on the OS, but the new site is truely appalling.

I know it's not the clubs fault so much as this is the result of a deal with whoever for most of the football leagues sites, but if this is the result of that contract they need to find a way out of it.

It's a horrible 'user experience' going on this and I will certainly be using it less and less.

First impressions aren't great, but it'll settle itself down. There are always a few problems with new launches.

It does have the feel of being a bit of a rush job though. Having been involved in a number of web builds / launches it strikes me as being a bit of a work in progress. If you have a good roam around the site there are loads of things that have been enter just as temporary measures. Galleries etc. The player profiles aren't up to date - despite the squad numbers being in place for the new season. Pretty basic stuff.
