So much for this one being resolved in 48 hours. I was looking at the Seville website etc. and he doesn't even get a mention on there. I did wonder whether NH might be delaying going to Portugal to get this deal done. Anyway, whatever happens I am more than happy with the business we have done.

He probably isn't going to Portugal cos there is no reason for him to.....

As expected really, stable top division club so would have been difficult to compete - even if we really did try that hard.

A great shame to have missed out on Kondogbia as he would have been the missing piece in the jigsaw. To survive in the Premiership Reading will need someone in the middle of the park who is skilful, can hold the ball and can then play a defence splitting pass. Sadly we have no-one who can do this but a minibus full of chasing tackling players and wide flair players.

No, he would have been 1 of 2 missing pieces. We still very much need a striker and a midfielder.

I'd arguably say in Danny Guthrie we have the guy that can splay a cross or split a defence, but defensively he's quite lightweight whereas Kondigbia can sit back and dictate from a more defensive position and could have become Leigertwoods heir. Moot point now sadly.

Do feel like we are maybe a creative AM/striker short, as well as a DM, but not desperate for either at this time, something amazing may crop up that isn't available just now.

Good first post by the way, welcome.
