Walked out on last year of his contract.

Still suing them for £3m back pay though.

Plymouth will feel like Man City compared to Pompey.

Plymouth are a whopping 21/10 to beat them.

Beat Aldershot 1-0 in a friendly thanks to McLeod (used to be at Barnet).

Kitson not involved. Brian Howard was in midfield, though.

Portsmouth XI: Morris, Ben Haim, Webster, Sallaj, Harley, Djilali, Lawrence, Howard, Harris, McLeod, Rodgers

This is the quality Portsmouth have been attracting: "Agonit Sallaj is 20 year old Albanian defender who has been playing in Switzerland" - plays for FC Biel-Bienne in the second tier of Swiss football.

Was there in the Aldersh*t end. 2000 people there, 1000 of them Pompey fans, unsurprisingly Mr. Portsmouth was one of them. As much as they deserve liquidation, you can't knock their support. Was discussing with the guy I went with whether we'd have 1000 fans at a pre-season friendly at Aldershot if the tables were turned..who knows? Heavy boos for Ben-Haim throughout the first half, and generally awful awful game. Portsmouth looked disjointed as you'd expect from a team of triallists and youngsters. Highlight was a 35 year old Guy Branston cutting Luke Rodgers in half right in front of us. You sense that even if they do survive, they could carry on tumbling through the leagues...

TBF we probably would have 1,000 at a pre season friendly with Aldershot.

And as I've pointed out on many occasion you can knock their support. They're a bunch of bell ends.

Literally. Yeah they may be a bunch of idiots, but they're fighting the cause of their club in a manner which I was very impressed with. And okay, but it would more likely be for the local rivalry of it. Would we manage 1000 fans at a game over an hour away against a team we have no former association with? I don't think we would.

I'm not knocking your opinion I'm merely arguing against it. On my various trips to Fratton and Portsmounth I've found the fans voilent and ungracious. Since all this shit has come out I've also seen them utterly convinced they've done no wrong. Be more happy if they agreed to recind their FA Cup win, hand us back Tommy Smith and expunge the criminally pathetic 1-0 defeat against Fulham and the 120 million we've lost in revienue after being relegated. Will they do that? Will they bollocks.

So, huzzah to the supporters who think it's OK to do this. Yeah. I'm impressed.

No offence LJ, I just really don't have a lot of time for any of them.

Could not have put it any better. They rubbed our noses in it big time when we were relegated. They should have there cup win taken away, while every club relegated during there Prem stay have the money thay lost.

It's the footballing equivalent of rubber necking, everyone stops down to have a gawp at the last dying twitches of the corpse that once was Portsmouth FC. Some people cry, some people are shocked, but most shake their heads and despair at the thought that it could have been avoided if they weren't so oxf*rd irresponsible.

What I hate is all the bleating about how it's unfair to punish the fans. The fans aren't being punished. They are just reaping the consequences of having to repay the money used to gain the success they all enjoyed. It's like hearing people who've run up massive credit card bills crying about having to sell all their nice things.

The three remaining players left at Pompey are Liam Lawrence, Dave Kitson and Tal Ben Haim.

Birch has previously said there is Championship interest in Lawrence, while Ben Haim is now being linked with a move to Premier League West Ham.

He's been in talks all day with Pompey and apparently reached a compromise.

Pompey have reached an agreement with Dave Kitson over the termination of his contract.

The 32-year-old striker has signed a compromise agreement over money outstanding for the final year of his contract.

Blues administrator Trevor Birch said: “I’d like to thank Dave and his agent for the stance they’ve taken to give Portsmouth Football Club the best possible chance of survival.

“We thank Dave for his service to the club and wish him every success for the future.”

Kitson made 72 appearances for Pompey after arriving from Stoke in August 2010, making his debut in a goalless draw with Ipswich at Fratton Park.

He scored a total of 12 goals for the Blues, including a brace in a 6-1 home thrashing of Leicester.

and then there were 4!!
