I reckon the first day of the season should be Nicky Hammond day....

Hilarious!!!

A Shef Weds fan interupted Dellor during his commentary to tell Tim that Shef Weds has bought Antonio for £600K!

:D

Missed that! Classic! Shef Weds may now become my championship team 12/13.

Am expecting this to be tied up in the next couple of days.

Hearing that he's travelling up to Sheffield to talk terms.

Will be a good move for him, hoping we have a good well on clause as personally think that he has potential. Just never really got a run in the team.

Personally if I was Mcdermott I'd be keeping hold of him, especially with Kebe's fitness being questioned at the moment. If Mccleary gets injured, then we are going to be very light on wingers, and to be honest hes showed enough promise to me when I have seen him to take a chance and keep hold of him. At worst I would send him out on loan again.

Sheffield Wed fans are as excited about getting Antonio as we would have been about getting Siggy.

Antonio is SW's Siggy. Good luck to him if true. I think it is a shame as he has potential but if he really wanted to go - you cannot really hold him back.

He wouldn't get the chance he deserves here, so let them have their brilliant, strong, quick, hunky cake.

Deal signed an hour or two ago.

Good luck to him, needs regular football to progress.

Always liked him as a player, but doubted he could make the step up another level without consistent football.

£850,000 fee apparently. Not too shabby.

Really? Come on. Also, merge with the thread in UR&G.
We can't hold on players for the future when they're 23. So, you want to use him in 2015 when he'd be 25? Really? He needs first team experience. That £850k fee does help soften the blow of losing him, though. Championship football is a good move for his development.

No surprise, he needed the move to get the chance to step up to being a quality Championship player. A useful player to have kept hold of in case of relegation but best for all concerned IMO.

Thanks and good luck Antonio!!

Good luck to him, hope we have some sort of sell-on/buy back clause. Think he could turn into a pretty tasty footballer now he'll be settled at a club and getting first team football.

He would have been a good back up player in the mean time. He could get first team action on loan. The 850k though could be used to get a more proven back up though.
