Gonna be a bit confusing wanting him to do well, whilst at the same time wanting Pompey to get spanked every week.

Isn' t this a bit of a step down for him? Didn't he had a good championship run with Bristol City a couple of years ago?

Think that was Bristol Rovers in League 2?

Yup, you're right, i was wrong. Fair play then, decent move, and lets face it, he's going to get alot of practice at Pompey.

Hopefully he can have a good season and we can get something out of him and some point in the future.
Elsewhere, Andersen got 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth.
Ugwu got 61 minutes for Yeovil in a 1-1 draw against Coventry
Hector got 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss for Shrewsbury against Sheffield Utd. Also picked up a yellow card.
Brett Williams got 66 minutes in a 3-1 win for Woking against Barrow

And Macdonald played the full game for Wimbledon, got the assist in a 1-0 win.

Jay o/
Victor Meldrew Has Church gone yet?
Yesterday's Mail said that he is about to go to Huddersfield.

We wont let Church go unless someone else comes in.

I'd thought this was settled as well. Makes sense that we need him, but he won't see much time, especially when Roberts is back. Maybe something can still be sorted.

The EP initimated last week that Church would be allowed out on loan once Roberts has served his suspension so if anything is going to happen I expect it will be after Wednesday.

Which seems a bit bizarre to me - if we need Church now, while Roberts is suspended, what are we going to do later in the season if/when Roberts/Pog pick up an injury/suspension?

If we allow Church out on loan without a replacement striker coming in then I will begin to think that Brian and NH have lost their marbles completely. However, good or bad Church is we need as many options as possible to compete. Even now we only have 24 counting players in the squad - so it would make zero sense to reduce this to 23.

Likely to be short term with the option to extend it

Obita's joined Pompey. Sounds like he'll go straight into the squad for tonight's game.

Can't imagine we'd be willing to loan him out if he wasn't going to get game time. Especially if we're doing Pompey a bunch of favours, financially.
