Yeh, obvs, I was just surprised that he's got clearance to play tonight if the deal's only just been completed.

Ah good point, maybe he won't be cleared to play tonight? Hope he pushes on.

Pepe the Horseman Obita's joined Pompey. Sounds like he'll go straight into the squad for tonight's game.

Still no mention of Obita's loan on either the Reading or Pompey Official Sites.
Are they just being slow, or has there been a hold up?

According to Pompey News it has definitely gone through and they were spot on with Andersen when other sources said the deal had fallen through.

Obita has also tweeted a couple of hours ago that he had "signed for Pompey".

Now on the OS
http://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/article/obita-loaned-210812-326361.aspx
Obita to Pompey
Royals winger Jordan Obita has joined Portsmouth on a one-month loan deal.
Obita, 18, has joined the League One side and links up with our 'keeper Mikkel Andersen who is also at Fratton Park for a month.
Jordan is an England youth international who has made one start and one sub appearance for the Royals in the Carling Cup, and was also on the bench for Brian McDermott's men in the npower Championship early last season. He has spent time out on loan already in his career, first at Barnet and then at Gillingham where he scored three goals in six appearances.
Meanwhile, another of our loanees did well at the weekend, Karl Sheppard scoring on his Accrington debut. Defender Angus MacDonald also weighed in with an assist for loan club AFC Wimbledon.

West Stand Man SS News is showing Bignall has gone to Exeter for a month.

Hopefully Bignall will explode into a Headline making season sometime soon.

(Athough I don't think he will still be with us when it happens unfortunately)

This kid is a real real prospect.

Hoping he continues to impress for the rest of the month and earns a championship loan :)

To quote the BBC:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19252494

83:47 Substitution
Substitution Jordan Obita replaces Jack Compton.
85:02 Goal scored
Goal - Jordan Obita - Colchester 2 - 2 Portsmouth A goal is scored by Jordan Obita from close in to the bottom right corner of the goal. Colchester 2-2 Portsmouth.

So just 75 seconds after coming on he scores a debut goal to earn his team a point.

:D Must be galling for the 'supporters' of Pompey to be depending on a Reading loanee.

I think it is an honour for us to be able to loan players to the biggest club in the world.

Andersen also made the save of the game with a tip over the bar from a 30 yard freekick

Church linked to Huddersfield again after it looked settled last week. Can't see why it hasn't gone off previously, and he's still named for the U21 side tonight. Could mean another striker on the way, doubtful though.
