tbf, if you are a woman/kid/old person and everyone is standing in front of you its kind of ruining their day

obviously they should feck off and sit at the front, and snitches get stitches and all, but if shes asked you to try and sit down a bit and you dont-you get what you deserve

The people behind me last night were complaining about us standing and eventually moved. I'm all for standing even though I have an 8 year old and 11 year old who have to stand on the seat to see. What I don't like, as happened last night is when we score a goal and those behind you start jumping over seats and putting others in danger. My 8 year old ended up in tears after almost being knocked for six by the guy behind. Yes, celebrate the goal, we all want to, but be careful.

Reading fans aren't the friendliest of bunches when it comes to away games - seen many a fan ejected for other fans complaining about them. Recall Scrooge McDuck - nicest guy you'll meet getting ejected from West Brom away a few years ago due to some woman moaning to the stewards that he had the audacity to stand up now and again and sing. Also Sunderland away - fans grassed up two lads who they thought were Sunderland fans and got them kicked out. They were actually Reading fans from Sunderland as I knew them.

Just another reason why there need to be separate safe-standing areas - not just for the benefit of people who want to stand but for those who don't/can't.

I had some idiots in front of me at Wembley against Swansea who were constantly moaning as the flag I had was brushing there hair.

At the end I overheard, "well it was dissapointing we got beat by Barcelona last night"... I told them to Eff right off and support there glory hunting team as they were taking up seats for kids who may become future Reading fans

If you are sat in front of either a child or an elderly fan who can't get up and down quickly, I think it's just plain ignorant not to try and accomodate their view in some way. At away games i'm happy to stand for long periods but everyone should try and be sensitive to other people's difficulties rather than just focussing entirely on what they want to do.

It's probably pertinent to ask them if they wish to swap seats. The funniest i ever saw was at Arsenal away when it was complete swinging handbags. Embarrassing.

Can't stand people snitching like that, although agree that people need to be a touch considerate and try to accommodate their fellow fans if they can.

I'm a giant and it's awkward when everyone stands when there's a shallow rake b/c people behind you get the hump. Not much that can be done other than they have to move.

I probably overreacted a bit but only because I was pi$$ed at the guy. My sons only 8 and been to 60+ games including at least a dozen away and loves to stand on the seat and join in the singing etc. I've never had the issue before. He hates it when we sit down. As many have said, everyone's there to enjoy the game but a bit of consideration is sometimes needed.

Having read this through I can't get to grips with the title / subject line. It should surely read "Supporters who complain" as the evidence here is not about grassing (a ridiculous and pointless phrase if ever there was one - but that is a different argument) it is about complaining.
