Oh good, another moron

Hahah Moron?!?! Good luck!

Mcanuff missed an open goal with a header. Struggled to beat a man in the previous two games (except one little jink at Chelsea) Defends like hes been shot and dragging his body back. Gives little to no cover for the full back (Gunts or Harte) Making their work rate more and leaving them more exposed.

When Hal comes on he attacks the full backs. Gets at them, makes them think. Same for Jimmy and Mclearly.

Must have missed the Chelsea game m8 where he beat Ivanovic countless times and won the free-kick which Guthrie scored from.

Off you go

^^^ This more or less. Cummings deserves a shot at some time, may as well be now.

Mignolet

Brown - O'Shea - Cuellar - Richardson

A Johnson - Cattermole - McClean

Sessegnon

Fletcher - Saha

If all our signings come off today I think we could line up like this.

Will be a tough game and I'm certainly not going to write you lot off, you're not easy to beat and seems to have a good group of players now.

One things for sure, it will be a competitive game and could go either way. Martin O'Neil teams are always tough. Be interesting to see how Fletcher works out for you.

Ok WR, Judging on the teams performance, Gunter was a couple of marks under the rest of them. Give him that surely?

There is no way you can deny that he has struggled for us in these two games so far??

There absolutely is.

Etherington hardly had a sniff all game against him last Saturday.

Was up against Hazard on Wednesday and apart from the penalty certainly didn't disgrace himself.

Apart from a couple of misplaced passes he's looked pretty comfortable on the ball, and was finding Pog's feet with regularity on Wednesday (something the other guys at the back have failed to do).

I like Cummings, but Gunter is a class above.

Winch, I completely agree that Gunter is a class above but we are a squad that relies heavily on squad rotation, always have in recent years.

I take back he was "terrible" but he IMO was still looking nervous out there and it showed in particular to his decision making and his passing.

I for one was extremely happy when we signed Gunter, but he has not performed to the required standard in the first two games.

Let's hope Gunter improves his performances sooner rather than later (given the chance) but I bet Cummings deep down thinks he deserves a chance to start. I would if I was him. Of course in Brian we Trust.

Good job the game is about opinions.

Dominic Samuel has been removed from tonight's under-21 game and could be on the bench tomorrow.

Extended-Phenotype Would consider putting McCarthy in for Feds. Let him get over his crisis off-pitch.

Love us to stick Roberts and Pog up top with a 4-4-2, but sneaky suspicion the 4-5-1 is our ‘away’ formation; no beef with that – worked great on Tuesday so bring it on.

I think it's our "big club" formation and that Bri will target us as being able to take the game to everyone but Man U, Citeh, Arsenal, Chelsea and maybe Spurs.

Apparently Roberts has a calf strain so hasn't travelled.

Yep, no Roberts as stated above.

But what about Church? He's playing tonight which effectively rules him out of tomorrows game? Have they picked Samuel ahead of him?

Aaron Tshibola just tweeted that Samuels is on the bench tomorrow...

Personally I'd expect that he's just travelling with the squad for experience, although I guess he could be taking Church's bench spot?

MouldyRoyal Same as last night but drop Gunter for Cummings.

spot on, gunter needs to know when to calm down / bit of composure when on the ball

maybe roberts to start and le fondre to come on when teams tire

we dont want to keep changing the side as they need to gel

£15m for Adam Johnson.

£12m for Steven Fletcher.

Where do Sunderland get their money from?
