Who would take relegation but winning the league/FA cup? I know I would.

You can never take away a cup title. Relegations can be put to rest with promotions. I'd take the FA Cup in an absolute heart beat over staying up. League Cup is a bit of a closer call tbh, especially with the increased TV deal. But I'd probably still take that over staying up.

Staying up gives the tv money, which hopefully creates a better squad, which sets our sites on... winning a cup. I'd say FA cup as much as I'd like to see us play in premier league every year.

Edit: Also, Fordham on likely changes for tomorrow:

No way. It's the whole package. There's the money issue, MOTD vs Manish, keeping our players, and the abject misery of relegation lasting a whole summer vs a cup win fading more quickly.

I get your point, but disagree whole heatedly.

My heart says I'd take the FA cup, but my head says I'd want to stay up. Good question!

Everything TSI want to achieve here depends on Premier League football, not a poxy League Cup, or even an FA Cup, no matter how nice it would be to have one.

Fa Cup seriously devalued in recent times with biggest insult in it being sandwiched on a premier league fixture day.

League all the way for me.

Yeah, brings back great memories of taking 40k to Wembley, winning a tin pot cup and bringing it back to the tin pot home of a tin pot club whose fans also supported clubs like Chelsea, who could fulfil their dreams of top flight football.

I hope so. No game for over 2 weeks, so we may as well give it a go tonight. I'd like to see Maps and Shorey come in, and Karacan for Legs, but otherwise go for it!

I will be annoyed if we don’t play pretty much a full team tonight, with the exception perhaps of a goalkeeping change. We have no game for 3 ½ weeks after tonight, this is a chance for the team to gel and hopefully achieve a win which will give us some confidence to take forward. Peterborough gave us 2 good games last season and if we start mucking about with reserve and youth players we will lose.

^This. This match is by no means a full gone conclusion even with a full team. McD right not to mess with it.

Same team as started against Chelsea.
