BBC - Al Fahim's back in the frame!

This emotional roller-coaster's going on too long. I just want closure.

Was he the one that didn't exist or that had no money?

Seem to remember Piers Morgan going on and on saying that he'd been in the Al Fahim's private jet, on his yacht and that the Portsmuff fans had nothing to worry about with the future of the club under the leadership of his mate the great billionaire saviour.

The one that had no money and then pretended that the other one (Al Mirage) existed, I think. It's like War & Peace.

This is correct.

The guy is dodgier than a bloke offering you a "genuine" Rolex down the pub; a fantasist who lacks any credibility whatsoever.

The ownership choice is between the PST and Chainrai - everything else is just noises off. IF (and its a big if) Chanrai agrees to sell the rights to Fratton Park to the PST for the £2.75M that has been offered, then the Trust will get the nod. If not, then Chanrai is the only remaining option - and even then everyone knows that it will only be a short term fix.

What's happened to the 1 month contracts the players were signed on for? They've now expired.

I love the comments by the Pompey fans on that article; most seem to think that the reason no decision has been made is because Birch wants to screw more hours out of the Club!!

The reality is that the FL want watertight assurances about payments that both parties (forget the latest "bid"; thats going nowhere)
are unable to meet at this time.

Liquidation is still a real option.

Was Al-Fahim the chap hilariously chased out of the South stand by Portsmouth supporters a few years back?

I've never seen so many fake Burberry baseball caps waved with such anger before.

He must be mad! Didn't think he had any money though, that's why Watford were struggling.

He is - he proved it at Watford. He was declared bankrupt in 2007, but still got them, after changing his name from "Bazini" to "Bassini" to raise the finance. He also never met Hornets fans - planned meetings were repeatedly cancelled at short notice due to "sickness".

Think he'll fit in just right with Pompey, just the man they've been looking for!
