First half hat-trick for Eden Hazard in his last game for Lille. Reading's Joe Cole also playing.

Not a bad way to sign off, here's hoping he follows the history to United and not the money to City.

Yeah, I'm sure when players sign for United, the big pay packets have nothing to do with it. They all move because of the history of the club.

As I had expected, the Düsseldorf - Berlin game will not be replayed.

That'll irritate their recruitment panel. Should have insisted on a more thorough medical...

German Cup started this weekend and it is full of upsets. As many of you probably know, the first round is seeded so that teams from Bundesliga 1 and most of the teams from the second league get drawn away to teams from lower leagues. Both my local 1.Bl teams Greuther Fürth & 1. FC Nürnberg lost to non-league teams, Hamburg, Bremen and Eintracht Frankfurt all lost today, and Hoffenheim lost yesterday 4-0 against a team from the equivalent of Division 4.

Javi Martinez, sold by Bilbao to Bayern Munich last month, was caught by security guards at 2:00am on Saturday morning trying to break into Bilbao's training ground claiming he wanted to collect some things he had left behind

Bittersweet transfer business for Dortmund.

Bought Kagawa from Osaka for 350k euro, then sold him on to Man Utd for 12m.

Signed their own former youth player Reus from Gladbach for 17.5m euros.

18.30 kick-off today for Greuther Fürth today. First ever season in the 1. Bundesliga and after losing heavily at home to Bayern on match day one came a 1-0 away victory in Mainz. Schalke at home today. I have been practicing 'Schalalalalalala Schalalalalalala Scheiße 04' all morning.

Starfers - I see a secret footballer in Germany spoke to a newspaper this week about his homosexuality and how he won't 'come out' in public

What's public reaction been like to the story?

Awful performance from Real Madrid against Sevilla. Passing all over the place, finishing non-existent and run ragged all over the place. City will win at a canter if Madrid play the same way on Tuesday.

LOL at Di Maria's terrible attempt at a punch even worse than his teams terrible attempt at playing football.

I didn't know anything about it, to be honest.
