ManchesterRoyals We should have signed more quality players in the summer and we didnt, we wanted to keep faithful to the ones that brought us up but thats going to cost us, u could see the difference today in class reading looked like they were chasing shadows

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Please relax chap, it's really doesn't make anybody feel good (even yourself I suspect) to see such doom mongering over reaction.

We have had one poor performance and will learn from it. We were just coming back from a three week lay off from the Premier League and were rusty. We showed Spurs too much respect, we should have had a penalty and are far better than what we showed today. We are also missing Kebe and Roberts - two of our key players from last year.

We've only played three games (two of them against Chelsea and Tottenham).

We'll be fine.

Agree with this. We need to bounceback. Not sure I agree that we desperately need Kebe back, how many mistakes does he make? Roberts will be good though, although I wanna see how ALF does with the Pog for the majority of 90 minutes first

I do think we are relegation fodder but I will hold back from saying so just in case people say I'm being too premature.

Yes we are missing Roberts but until he is back we've got fukk all to come in for him. You need options in the Prem and waiting until he is back isn't one.

Too young for CSEs then? (You did them if you weren't up to 'O' Levels. Or haven't you heard of 'O' Levels? They were like 'A' Levels but 'Ordinary' as opposed to 'Advanced'.)

What interests me more is Reading4eva's tactic of going for the juggler. This is a playing position that I was never aware of before.

The real quality players for us today were our new signings, which says it all. Yes, some of our players from last season played pretty well (ALF for example) but there is no doubt at all that we needed more new blood of the quality of Pog and McCleary.

i think a "grade one" attained at cse level was equivalent to a gce "o" level pass:rather like an "a" level gcse pass today is equivalent to an old "pass" at gce "o" level from yesteryear.

ManchesterRoyals Play like we did against Chelsea and we will beat West Brom

I cant see that happening on todays performance

Play like we did against Spurs and we'll lose at WBA.

I can't see that happening on the Stamford Bridge performance.

Just putting it out there, but yes we were p*ss poor today but traditionally the last couple of seasons haven't been good starts. I just wonder if like those seasons BMac isn't sure of his best or starting 11. Unlike some defeatests on here I'm confident he will get it right and a decent run will happen.
