Just goes to prove that the more you try and control what message goes out of the club to the press and media, the greater the damage that will be done when discover you can't control everyone.

sandman If McDermott originally says the injury is main the reason....

I'm not sure that's what he did though. That's just your perception of what he said.

As I said before, McDermott is quite difficult to read at times because he loves a cliche and has an odd turn of phrase at times.

From the interviews I heard he didn't say he was mainly dropped because of the injury he said he was dropped, and that it would allow an injury to clear up that the physio said he shouldn't really play on so that it could improve.

Read Snowballs post above and I think it gives a pretty good summary of what was said.

Agreed. It was CLEAR that McDermott wanted to FIRST say "dropped for tactical reasons/form"

As I said, when offered the injury get-out he said NO

The fact that in-the-background there's an injury issue (and it MIGHT have contributed to the relative loss of form) is secondary.

What I find VERY interesting is McD has already made it clear that Feds WON'T play at WBA

Which is pretty much exactly what Ian Royal already said on page 27.

Has his Missus got to go or will a few slaps remedy the situation?

There's nothing wrong with Feds girlfriend voicing an opinion,it's sexist to suggest otherwise and especially so to claim she should be subjected to physical violence for having an opinion.

If she was a man you people wouldn't say anything about it. She is a modern day woman she can say what she wants it's what good about the modern world whereas you people, you are what's bad with it.

Thats bollox, it wouldn't matter who made the comment. The fact that someones family has come out against our club is the point.

The fact that it's a woman just makes it that bit worse as she most likely hasn't got a clue. Reminds me of the mother of a shit under 10's park player, gobbing off from the sidelines because she thinks her son should be playing.

 You'll never change this bunch of neanderthals. Women on here are given short shrift, whatever their opinion!

Anyway, fwiw, I think she was wrong to go on twitter - sure, bleat about it to your m8s and rest of your family - but don't complain and talk about "loyalty" on twitter! That's the worst bit for me really - had she not mentioned the "loyalty" bit and her sister not had a dig at the fact McC let in 3 goals, I think we'd all be a bit more sympathetic.

Snowball I don't get this BS some of you are spouting about Brian McDermott lying
or changing his tune.

Federici dropped out of the Oz game injured.

He has clearly been carrying an injury/niggle of some sort, it was mentioned by someone on this board
who watched him and saw "uncomfortable" during the warm up for the Stoke game.

The first time McDermott spoke about Feds not playing he was clearly offered the chance
to "so with" Dellor's prompt (injury) and was very clear that MO he was dropped for tactical reasons.

He THEN added that there were niggling injury issues that were ongoing and that the physio
disagreed with Feds belief that he could play with them. McD actually said (paraphrasing)
"No, Adam felt he could play"

In other words

Feds is not 100% physically fit, but IN HIS OPINION he was fit enough to play.

The physio believed/believes Feds SHOULDN'T play.

The manager knows all is not rosy (mistakes etc and presumably more time on the treatment table)

Even when given the "easy option" ("Yes, he's injured") he chose not to.

Too bad not a lot of HobNobbers can work out that two things can happen at the same time

RoyalBlue Oh, and of course, The Boy Wonder McCarthy was completely error free on Sunday!

No one said that. Although at least he didn't directly cause us to conceed a goal

RoyalBlue Added to that, Spurs must have loved having him as a 12th man the way he repeatedly kicked/handed possession straight back to them!.

What, like all the rest of our team? strange you're singling him out here.

As good as. Only a weak finish/Alex Pearce's goalline clearance stopped it.

That fukk up was the worst all season bar Federici's against Stoke.

Yes, it was bad. Didn't result in a goal though, no matter how close it was. And that's what counts.

No, NOT. "as good as a goal". It WASN'T a goal. END

Feds has given away goals this season, McCarthy hasn't

snowball. This is getting disturbing. We're agreeing far too much at the moment. Can you pm me your opinion on a given subject before you post, so that I can make sure I'm posting the diametrically opposing view again. I'll do you the same courtesy.
