Hoop Blahsandman If McDermott originally says the injury is main the reason....
I'm not sure that's what he did though. That's just your perception of what he said.
As I said before, McDermott is quite difficult to read at times because he loves a cliche and has an odd turn of phrase at times.
From the interviews I heard he didn't say he was mainly dropped because of the injury he said he was dropped, and that it would allow an injury to clear up that the physio said he shouldn't really play on so that it could improve.
Read Snowballs post above and I think it gives a pretty good summary of what was said.

Royal Lady Well, he's made a right chump out of me now. I was very complimentary about him to Abu Dhabi TV and now THIS.

sandman There's nothing wrong with Feds girlfriend voicing an opinion,it's sexist to suggest otherwise and especially so to claim she should be subjected to physical violence for having an opinion.
If she was a man you people wouldn't say anything about it. She is a modern day woman she can say what she wants it's what good about the modern world whereas you people, you are what's bad with it.

Snowball I don't get this BS some of you are spouting about Brian McDermott lying
or changing his tune.
Federici dropped out of the Oz game injured.
He has clearly been carrying an injury/niggle of some sort, it was mentioned by someone on this board
who watched him and saw "uncomfortable" during the warm up for the Stoke game.
The first time McDermott spoke about Feds not playing he was clearly offered the chance
to "so with" Dellor's prompt (injury) and was very clear that MO he was dropped for tactical reasons.
He THEN added that there were niggling injury issues that were ongoing and that the physio
disagreed with Feds belief that he could play with them. McD actually said (paraphrasing)
"No, Adam felt he could play"
In other words
Feds is not 100% physically fit, but IN HIS OPINION he was fit enough to play.
The physio believed/believes Feds SHOULDN'T play.
The manager knows all is not rosy (mistakes etc and presumably more time on the treatment table)
Even when given the "easy option" ("Yes, he's injured") he chose not to.
Too bad not a lot of HobNobbers can work out that two things can happen at the same time

RoyalBlue Oh, and of course, The Boy Wonder McCarthy was completely error free on Sunday!
RoyalBlue Added to that, Spurs must have loved having him as a 12th man the way he repeatedly kicked/handed possession straight back to them!.

No one said that. Although at least he didn't directly cause us to conceed a goal

As good as. Only a weak finish/Alex Pearce's goalline clearance stopped it.
That fukk up was the worst all season bar Federici's against Stoke.
