I would wish him well if he would just shut the fcuk up for at least 1 week, and stop spotting stuff like "this is my calling...blah blah fcking blah"

As said previously, don't have anything against the guy really...he just doesn't help himself sometimes and I don't rate him as a manager. Anyone can preach passing football and try to make a team play that way. Trick is getting it to work. He's done that once, with a team that were already doing it.

Clearly the principles he is trying to apply are admirable. But it's got to start with grassroots and youth football, not the Liverpool 1st team. St George's Park is far more crucial to the future of football in this country.

Yes, we need the whole package don't we. More good British managers, better grass roots football, a shift of focus at youth level from just winning to being technically good, SGP, more British players playing in Prem first teams, etc.

If Rogers turns out to be a great manager it will help our game, so may I suggest it is self defeating to wish him to fail. I am starting to kind of get why people don't like him, but what is he supposed to do, avt like he doesn't believe in himself and do himself down to pacify people that don't like him?

I agree that it will take more than just the Liverpool 1st team to see a wide improvement, but Rodgers proved at Swansea that you can get British players who've come through our system to play the game the way he wanted them too.

It's all well and good saying he only had that success because the style was already in place, but he made enough changes to that, and got more out of certain players, for it to be his acheivement.

He also did ok at Watford and got them player more 'football' than Boothroyd had previously. If it wasn't for the Reading job coming along he probably would've continued the decent work he'd started there.

When they played his way against us, Watford got crucified. There is an argument that they only improved under him when someone else took a hand and made him compromise his ideals to fit with what they were capable of. Taylor I think was the rumour.

I'm really hoping United win tomorrow after some Liverpool fans are now using the JFT96 report to make United look like the bad guys in all of this due to the Hillsborough chanting.

Of course, Liverpool fans didn't sing about Munich or take inflatable planes to 'certain' games.

So if "some Liverpool fans" as you put it WEREN'T using the report in the way that you suggest you would want Liverpool to win?
You really are the twattest twat of all time and how come you got back so quickly from the Chelsea game so that you could post on a Reading website about a club that you supposedly have no interest in?
It's the weekend now but I think come Monday morning you should seek some psychiatric counselling as mentally you do appear to be in a right old mess.

What a thoughtful post on a Sunday morning.
Do you think the same of the families of the 9/11 disaster every September?
Pathetic,no not just pathetic, uncaring and arrogant.

I'm not sure what is "Big" about you but it certainly isn't your heart or indeed your brain.

It's actually evening where I am so had all day to think about it!

Your love of all things scouser is admirable. I hope you will be wearing your shell suit with pride today.

Only a couple of weeks until the 8th anniversary of Ken Bigley's death. Lets hope you save some tears for him as well.

There you go with thicko stereotyping-I was last in Liverpool in April and amazingly didn't see a single shell suit,a Keegan hairstyle nor too many moustaches.
Nor did I see wailing in the streets.
Please do stay in Hong Kong-we don't really want your sort here.

Careful what you say over there in Hong Kong Ernie, there are a lot of Liverpool fans around you and being so BIG you will be easily recognised.
As for today's football I don't usually moan about the ref but even Gary Neville saw the Shelvey/Evans contact as 50/50 and how different was the Van Persie challenge near the end?.
Time to retire Halsey.
