Listening to the reports it sounds like Liverpool were unlucky to have Shelvey sent off and to concede a soft penalty. Unlike United to get the benefit of refereeing decisions huh.

Having looked at it again it's clear that the challenge was two footed ........... by Evans.
The fact that he got himself hurt is why Shelvey got sent off. In fact, Shelvey's studs wren't even showing as they were pointing down.

Overturning the red should be a formality, but it won't help Liverpool's points

Liverpool fans singing "you're not fit to referee" to a man that has beaten cancer to continue his career and booing a man that was racially abused.

Just like NFA yesterday you got back quickly from the game.
BTW two contributions from old man Scholes-beaten easily by a player with no experience to cross for the goal and then getting booked for trying to scythe down a 17 year old where if he had connected could have seriously jeopardised his career.
Once a yob,always a yob.
The sooner he retires (again) the better as it's sad to see a player who at times has performed well for his club and country (from which he retired when he wasn't picked)struggling on the big stage.

Considered one of the best players they have played against - a whole plethora of modern day 'greats'. Got an honest appraisal of Skrtel?

Victor, Liverpool fans are no angels, like the rest of the football fraternity.

If I were you I'd be holding my hands up here, BR2....

Pathetic comments from Big Ern - definitely one for the 'until it happens to him' club.

Shelvey's challenge was a red, he was out of control. But it was one of those challenges where the player who ends up worse off gets away with it. Neville spot on, it was two young British players going full-bloodied into a tackle, Evans was two-footed, but he got caught by Shelvey's studs. A red for both, or a yellow for both, would have been fair.

Liverpool also sung "stand up for the 96" which was a bit odd seeing as it was the aftermath of Hillsborough that led to all seater stadia.

Do you actually watch a game or just have your ears glued to the radio or Tv (clearly you didn't go) trying to hear what fans are singing or saying.?

No,I tend to be more focused on the game and whatever the commentators or crowd say is just by the way.
Out of interest do you still go to games?
