RobRoyal

royal_ross Problem is our players are too heavily paid AND get paid for their country! That is what is wrong IMHO

:?:

Look at Spain, for example: they don't get paid much at all, hence their success.

Just for the record, England players don't take home a penny for representing their country. As a squad they actually donate all match fee's to charity, something I don't think they ever get any credit for.

The idea that the likes of Xavi, Silva, Febregas etc don't earn 'too much' is beyond me too!

Green Right, Spanish players are on the bus to the game with the fans are they? Hadn't realised that.

Oh come on now, surely I wasn't too subtle?

Archie's penalty http://rightbankwawaeuro2012.wordpress.com/2012/10/18/two-very-different-feelings/

My take on last night.

Well written. I hope you are wrong about England's development under Hodgson. You are right they play too many long balls at the moment, bypassing the midfield and therefore giving up possession too cheaply. Hopefully this will change.

Thanks mate. Let's see what happens. Think Oxlade-Chamberlain, Cleverley and others are pretty decent. My gut feeling is it will look better when Gerrard is done.

Rooney at the moment looks really staid for the national team...

Btw the address of my blog has changed, it's now http://rightbankwarsaw.wordpress.com/ The Euros have finished and am thinking of writing about Polonia Warszawa - the team the boy Wszolek plays for...
