What's don't understand is how when lower league teams play these big sides they still end up creating chances - we just never look like scoring and just sit on the edge of our box waiting for sides to come on to us

As McDermott, he wants to ignore those skills and ping direct balls all the time. We wont get the benefit of a ball player like Guthrie with these tactics.

This is so tiresome I can't be bothered with a long reply.

Liverpool, on their day, are a good enough side to beat anyone. And if we played to our best, and got stuffed, then so be it. The frustration is, we can get the ball in 10 yards of space, and by the time Leigertwood's fat a*se has controlled it, we're out of possession again. No-one looks hungry, no-one looks determined, and I don't think we've had a single pass on the floor yet.
