And I am not sure that people here are "showing too much respect to the Spurs". Based on yesterday's performance any respect being given them has more than been earned. If we didn't give that respect to the Spurs based on what happened what would it mean? The Spurs aren't that good and we're shite? I don't believe we're shite so I am giving the Spurs the credit they're due.

Reading were very matchplay rusty yesterday and it was across the whole team in the first half, although I thought The Ledge stood out as our best player at the time. The surprise of the game for me was Guthrie, as he had probably one of the worst games he has EVER played. I rate him very highly and he looked just the same as every other RFC player. Expect him to come back 'big time' next time out! The Pog seemed to be playing on ice, as every time somebody touched him, he went down. I know that 'subs' have the advantage of being full of energy, compared to the players that have been on the pitch all game, but ALFIE and HRK both looked outstanding, with ALFIE definitely being the best RFC player on the pitch. He made moves that we had only previously seen from Spurs........ I still say that he will be a massive success in the EPL, and with him, RFC WILL STAY UP!!!!

TBF you'll find it's pretty much the same on most fans forums when there club has lost a few games on another forum I use some one posted a quote from a Southampton fan on Saturday during the defeat to Arsenal on the BBC forums saying "Adkins out" which is just ridiculous when you consider who Southampton have had to play in their first 4 games.

How "could" it have been 6-1? If Spurs were better at football? Scoreline was about right, they certainly fully deserved the win.

Even Gary Neville just highlighted our problems on sky, leaving spaces wide open at the edge of the box for pull backs from the bye-line, don`t really think it needed him to tell us as it was so glaringly obvious. hopefully the coaching staff have their TVs switched on.

I hope so, because I'm sure I spotted a tendency towards that weakness last season and against Chelsea as well.

To be fair we looked very good against Newcastle too.

Other than that, usually overmatched...the opposing players usually look bigger, faster and more talented. It is too easy to close us down and we can't string more than a couple passes together at a time. A bit of pressure and invariably we pass it to a player wearing a different color shirt.

TBF we played very well against Newcastle and were shafted.

We have to realise these sides we are playing are a couple of levels better than us!

The massive games are the Norwich, Wigan, and QPR's etc...

We were basically playing football with no pressure because of the low expectations, or as McDermott calls it, 2-0 football.

When the pressures been on and we've been more aware of the need to won points we've clammed up.

Agreed its nerves, look at the game today - after the goal we relaxed and started to play much better. Admittedly it wasn't great but we could have nicked a point. After the QPR cup win we were sucker-punched by the officials failing to spot Ba's handball which i think was enough to knock the fragile confidence we had gained from Loftus Road.

The sooner the first win the better, until then the monkey on our back is growing in size.
