Reading odds on to be relegated, Alfie 150/1 for the golden boot and McDermott 16/1 to be the next manager out the door. That and other bookie related analysis up now.

We take a look at the Opta stats from Saturday's game to see if we can explain our improvement.

Is 2 points from 15 good enough? We look at where we should be getting points over the season to see if our start is as bad as some think. We also look at how other predicted relegation fodder are faring to see if it's as bad as our 19th position looks.

We look at the squad through the first six league games seeing who's lived up to pre-season expectations and who's fallen short.

Why not put the links in the relevant thread?

Like the match thread, etc.

We all know it exists so there's no need for this thread.

I would not be missed if it's deleted

There's no need for half the threads on the team board but they exist anyway ;)

I take your point but I don't really see the harm in keeping things predominantly to 1 easy to read/find thread. It also enables people to easily go back if they vaguely remember an article or something else they want to dig out. Occasionally myself or another writer will dip into another thread to highlight a particularly relevant article but sometimes when it's a fast moving thread people can miss out on stories etc and this thread can help point people over to the site.

There's a search function to find the link - The team board goes right back well before TTE

And you are assuming a level of interest beyond - "Yeah , we know it exists. I'll have a look occasionally"

How many regular hits from the same IP's do you get as opposed to casual browsing or hist from search engines?

Your advertising would be best done in context at the time the article is "fresh" - therefore in the actual thread linked to the article topic

I post once here when the article is fresh, the thread then moves to the top of the team board before slowly drifting down, I'm sure you're well aware of how a message forum works..... You may also be well aware that if you don't want to keep updated with the site you don't have to click in this thread.

This topic has been clicked nearly 45,000 times since it was created, so either 45,000 have stumbled upon it and are merely concerned with being made aware that the website exists and are passing comment, or some people are actually clicking on the thread and then clicking on links when there's an article that's relevant to them.

Maybe it's A, maybe it's B, I don't presume either way, all I and certain others do is post a link that people can choose to click on in a thread that people choose to click on in a web forum that people can choose to click on. However if HobNob or the mods do feel it's time to close this central thread then I'll obviously respect that.
