And Maidenhead carry on sinking. Same old pattern isn't it? Just started a bit early for them this season.

Seems like someone has just detected a pulse on the corpse of Truro City. How many of these 9 lives have they had?!

... and rumour has it, that in true decisive fashion, the powers that be at the Conference have just 'un-expelled' them!

Yesterday's results - sadly both the 'local' STEP05 sides went out - as did Diddy and Woking - so its left up to Sluff and maybe at a pinch Hayes & Y (since they play at Woking) to maintain the local NL interest into the First Round proper - both KO their Cup ties this PM vs Gosport and Boreham W respectively:

FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round

16 South Park 0-3 Met Police
17 Didcot Town 0-1 Arlesey Town
18 Forest Green Rovers 1-1 Dartford
19 Yate Town 3-3 Newport County
21 Hastings Utd 3-0 Blackfield & Langley
22 Bromley 1-0 Worcester City
23 Chelmsford City 2-2 East Thurrock United
25 AFC Totton 2-3 Cambridge C
26 Welling 1-3 Bps Stortford
27 Braintree Town 3-2 Lowestoft Town
28 Dorchester Town 3-1 Bury Town
29 13:00 Cambridge United 0-2 Luton Town
30 Gloucester City 1-0 Chippenham Town
31 Corby Town 1-2 Hendon
32 Woking 0-1 Ebbsfleet United

CONFS
AFC Hornchurch 0-1 Eastbourne Borough
Dover 1-3 Salisbury
Havant and W 0-1 Farnborough
Sutton Utd 1-2 Staines Town
Tonbridge Angels 3-4 Bath City
Weston-S-Mare 5-2 Basingstoke

..if indeed Truro are upright and breathing again; they are due to visit Staines this Tuesday evening - providing: a) they can find XI players and b) they can afford the coach fare. :?

CONFN
Brackley 2-2 Gainsborough

SOUTH1C
Barton Rovers 2-1 Northwood
Beaconsfield SYCOB 2-1 Burnham
Biggleswade Town 3-2 Godalming Town
Chalfont St. Peter 2-2 Ashford Town (Middx)
Chertsey Town 1-1 Rugby Town
Guildford City 1-0 Leighton Town
North Greenford United 0-1 Aylesbury
Thatcham Town 0-4 Daventry Town
Woodford United 0-2 Fleet Town
SOUTH1S&W
Evesham United 0-2 Winchester City
Hungerford Town 2-1 Paulton Rovers
Merthyr Town 3-2 Abingdon United
North Leigh 4-0 Poole Town
CCLP
Badshot Lea 3-1 Ash United
Camberley Town 0-0 Croydon
Cove 2-0 Horley Town
Egham Town 4-1 Chessington & Hook United
Epsom & Ewell 2-1 Hanworth Villa
Farnham Town 1-4 Colliers Wood United
Guernsey 5-2 Bedfont Sports
Raynes Park Vale 1-6 Molesey
Wembley 3-1 Dorking
Windsor 6-2 Sandhurst Town - blimey I knew the 'Fizzers' have been pretty bad recently (lost 7 in a row in the league and had some pretty big hammerings in the Cups) but this was one I didn't see coming - expect Windsor may have brought in some more players?
Bottom two meet - appropriately enough - at Bottom Meadow this Tuesday when Hartley Wintney come to Sandhurst: then they play host to Windsor next Saturday.

CCL1
AFC Croydon Athletic 3-2 Cobham
Epsom Athletic PP Westfield
Farleigh Rovers 0-6 Eversley & California
Feltham 3-0 Banstead Athletic
Mole Valley SCR 3-1 Spelthorne Sports
Sheerwater 2-1 Knaphill
Staines Lammas 5-4 CB Hounslow United
Warlingham 1-2 South Kilburn
Worcester Park 2-4 Frimley Green

HELLP
Abingdon Town PP Holyport
Ardley United 1-1 Marlow
Binfield 2-1 Cheltenham Saracens
Flackwell Heath 5-1 Highworth Town
Highmoor Ibis 1-1 Wokingham & Emmbrook
Oxford City Nomads 0-2 Reading Town - RTFC maybe turning a corner - return to a bit of good form after their recent battering at Flackwell
Shrivenham 0-8 {EIGHT} Witney Town
Slimbridge 1-2 Ascot United - Yellamen pull off another great result - held the leaders last week - beat the 2nd place side this. Bit of a break from league action now - its a Cup w/e next up in the Hellenic - & Ascot not scheduled to play again until midweek 5th Nov.
HELL1E
Bracknell Town 3-1 Milton United - 'Robins' neatly tucked in 5th place with loads of games in hand - leaders - Rayners Lane - have just lost two in a row heavily - though there are bound to be sideways glances at the Maidenhead result below bearing in mind the 1sts had a Saturday off?
Finchampstead 1-4 Didcot Town Reserves
Maidenhead United Reserves 5-2 Rayners Lane
Penn & Tylers Green 0-0 Chalfont Wasps
Woodley Town 3-2 Thatcham Town Reserves
HELL1W
Lambourn Sports 2-3 Tytherington Rocks
Letcombe 1-7 Purton
Wootton Bassett Town 2-1 Fairford Town
Oxon FA Senior Cup R1 -
002 Chinnor {TEN} 10-2 Henley Town
006 Old Woodstock Town 3-2 Woodcote & Stoke Row
008 Rotherfield United 0-2 Thame United

WESS1
Stockbridge 4-1 Andover New Street
Tadley Calleva 2-2 Laverstock & Ford
Whitchurch United 1-2 Brockenhurst

... needed to be back fairly early yesterday PM, so took my mate to Amersham 3-3 Wodson - revisit for me - (South Mids Div 1) - nice rural surroundings - quirky landscaped pitch into the side of a hill. Big fisticuffs on HT - 2 straight Reds - completely out of character with the rest of the game which was low on quality but high on incident.

Windsor FC have NEVER brought in players. Last season lot all joined for the project and it was just a freak of nature when the budget was set to zero they left!

More a case of the other side being as poor as a 5 a side power league team. I play for a village side that only gets together every other Christmas for a game vs village along and we are more organised and half the time we are running around with vodka to keep warm! :D

Rother did you have to look twice at their player. From behind i honestly thought it was a woman...ooh eeer!

Sorry - either wrong use of the 'brought in' or I've simply mis-interpreted the 'Squad Info' on your website : where you reportedly gave five debuts vs Nomads last week and another four (?) this week vs Sandhurst incl the keeper?

... or were they just squad players of long standing being given a chance? :?

Blimey O'Riley Royalist, you really are incredibly tiresome.

Just for once, why not be positive without having a dig about something?

Okay Rother.

Windsor are brilliant the other side are brilliant, every penny that comes into the club, minus expenses is going towards building a better future not just for the club but youth sides that will be the only source of player in the future and they'll never ever leave and Windsor FC will be able to pay them handsomely when, not if, the income streams happen.

36 Teams 1 goal!

I really don't understand you.

Yes Sandhurst were rubbish and that result does not mean a lot in isolation but it gives cautious confidence to everyone that things are heading in a positive direction, however slowly.

Whatever you think of the past the club is being run in a way I thought you'd be embracing but every comment you make is still dripping with cynicism.

You seem a bit confused.

Despite Ben Harris' brilliant skill for the 2nd penalty, worth the admission fee on its own, I'll bet you focus on the feeble effort from the resulting spot kick.

Yes, you seem a bit confused.

Not at all. Maybe slightly over egging the pudding but just pointing out no change in ethos at Windsor more a case of other side being poor. Hope confidence grows now and a few more wins happen before Christmas, not a dig just the size of the task at the moment.

Doubt Slough or Gosport are too thrilled with draw. Decent Conference side away and not the biggest of crowds. Shame about Hayes and Yeading them at home to Brentford would of been a good shout for a tv game. Local to each other and half the clubs name had a recent FA Cup run

Some great cup draws with the pick for me being Dorchester vs Plymouth - big crowd for that one.

Met Police vs Crawley is a good one as is Colchester vs Chelmsford if they can dispose of Thurrock.

Four Of Clubs Sluff D0-0 this PM v Gosport - a trip to Mansfield awaits should they get through the replay on Tuesday.

Went to this - enjoyed it, despite almost total lack of goalmouth action (possibly 1 shot on target for each team). Lots (well, a few) of Pompey shirts on show, with a full clubhouse before the game to see the cup draw, so good for the coffers (of both Slough and SYCOB, I guess).

Gosport beat Slough 4-0 a few weeks back in the Trophy, no chance of that this time. Sammy Igoe played for Gosport, and was kept in check very well by Slough's midfield. Gosport's no. 6 (James Brown!) should have been sent off for a second bookable offence for scything down Rhone, but the ref missed it. Gosport's strikers had an off day, and put at least 5 or 6 long shots yards over the bar, whereas Slough created little up front but looked relatively solid at the back.

All in all a typical non-league 'blood-and-thunder' (copyright sports journalists everywhere) cup tie.

No it wasn't a dig just a realistic set of targets. It's a hard task and considering everything would be an acceptable return.

Rother get off your crusade don't think i've said anything out of turn here! Perhaps it wasn't clear i had my tongue in cheek on one post but i thought it was! Hard job, a few wins in next few months would be fine. 1 goal above relegation would be a good season considering upheaval.
