We're going to be one of the few teams to be bottom at Christmas but avoid relegation.

Fulham (H)
QPR(A)
Norwich(H)
Everton (H)
Wigan (A)
Aston Villa (A)

WDWDDW - optimistically 12 points.
DDWLDD - more realistically 7 points

They're all winnable. Bit of belief, two up front, positive attitude, let's get going Biscuitmen.

Fulham (H) - beatable and conceding goals away from the Cottage. Home win
QPR(A) - will be out for revenge for the cup game, but again beatable. We should also have a stronger side this time. Away win
Norwich(H) - On paper the easiest of the six games. A must Home win
Everton (H) - Love to get one over the scousers, but I think we'll get beaten. Away win, unless above three games are all wins, in which case we'll be playing with a lot more confidence and might get a point.
Wigan (A) - No home victory yet, a run that is set to continue. Draw
Aston Villa (A) - Not scoring many at home, winnable, but I think it'll be another Draw
11 or 12 points, though I would be happy with 10

cant be arsed to read this thread, HOWEVER each season some daft team in the bottom three rises from the ashes, everyone knows that McD hates pre season, so in Jan we will get our wings and soar like an Eagle, or Fulham the year we went down and stay up, with WHU finally repaying us in the last away game to secure our place at the top table again. Then just the FA Cup Final to look forward to, with us and Bolton going head to head at Wembley again, McD vs the new Bolton manager, Brendon Rodgers, following his sacking from Liverpool in Nov.

Win the important home games and grab a couple points away!

Fulham (H) - Win
QPR(A) - Lose
Norwich(H) - Win
Everton (H) - Lose
Wigan (A) - Draw
Aston Villa (A) - Draw

I think will get 8 points from the next 6 games and based on my BBC predictor, we will be out the relegation zone by 1 point! Happy days. And a game in hand!

Pepe the Horseman What would people see as a good return from those games? 9 points?

I'd say 10 is the minimum requirement, which would put us on 13 from 13, with an average of 1 pt per game being about what is required to survive. A good return would be 12+

It's possible, I'll give you that. But, I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't think so.

This thread should merge with my "next 10 games" thread. Just saying as I had a thread merged into another for no real reason. (Same rule goes for everyone.....)

But this is about the season starting here - not the next 10 games.

Wouldn't take it to heart. You have to earn the right to start a thread and for it to be respected.

Fulham (H) - narrow nail biting 1-0 win.
QPR(A) - Morale boosting 3-1 win from losing at HT.
Norwich(H) - 5-0 home win and the stadiums rocking
Everton (H) - On form royals edge out Everton 2-0 (they're into a blip now)
Wigan (A) - Reading take the lead form a set piece in the first half and hold on for 1-0
Aston Villa (A) - Massively confident Reading destroy Wigan 3-0

Optimism reigns
