Either McDermott is clueless or Guthrie is injured; I severely hope its the latter. Get Federici off the bench and back in the reserves. I bet McDermott can't wait to get Federici back into the first 11. Let McCarthy get on with it. This line shows how poor we are in CM.

:| If McDermott couldn't wait to get Fed into the side, he'd never have been dropped, or at the very least he'd be starting now, not on the bench.

Yep a bit confusing this one, Tabb was universaly critisised as not being good enough last time he started, would much rather have seen Mcanuff in the middle with Mcleary on the wing, another example of not really knowing what our strongest team is, I trust that Guthrie is injured, if not thats three, Gunter, Guthrie and Mcleary, of our alleged pre season "premiership" quality signings not featuring in the first choice elevan, is it that the new sigings arnt up to it, and our scouting system isnt working ?

Harsh on McCleary. He was clearly bought as back up to Kebe and has done well. Guthrie's not worked as well as hoped and while we're not playing well he's a bit of a luxury. Although I'd still far prefer him to Tabb. Gunter's been a disappointment, but so has most of the defence IMO.

LOL Dillon: "Remember Kitson, he didn't play for three months and Steve didn't even speak to him until he'd got himself fit and understood the system."

Hodgson and Clemence present - possibly to look at McCarthy? Exciting. Clean sheet with some good saves would be nice.

To be fair we are playing very well. Bollocks to respecting teams, get the 4-4-2 going and attack

We need Shorey on the ball in crossing areas as much as possible. Premier League quality from him at least (before that corner).
