bobby m's syrup I have a feeling that the ink was drying on his P45 twice this afternoon. The draw will buy him another week or two, possibly. Great bloke and good Champ manager, but at this level?

Whoever loses next week between us and QPR will have Redknapp as their new manager come the following Thursday!

Stuboo
bassavage McDermott is the right man and he WILL keep us up.

Amen to that. I think so too. Once we start playing to feet a bit more, get that first win and get more belief into the side, I think we'll be fine.

+1. If we get rid of McD just because we've "only" got 4 points from 8 matches we'll definitely go down. He's the man to keep us up and give him enough time he will. On the money he's had for the last 3 years, including for this season so far, he's worked, and is contnuing to work, miracles.

4 points from 24 would tell me he is not working miracles.

Oh yes we've had a bad start so let's give Harry Redknapp of all people the transfer budget and ditch a manager who has worked minor miracles because we are two points from being out of the relegation zone after eight games...

Three weeks ago we were one win away from six clubs.
Two weeks ago it's three and now it's two.

This ain't the championship where anyone can beat anyone. We only play one way and even the shite teams are better at that then us. Just can't see our football style changing. Win a third of our games crime here on in? Unlikely.

But will a change of manager change that? Does anyone seriously think BMc isn't getting the very best possible out of this group of players?

Change of tactics and style of play would be a help though. Maybe from someone who knows what is required.

Having said all this I want Brian to turn this around, but the clock is now well and truly ticking.

Oh of course, it's half term. When you grow up, you will learn that others are allowed to have opinions with which you don't necessarily agree.

Is it that people actually believe that BeeMcDee deserves to be sacked, or that based on the current model of prem teams, this is around when it "traditionally" would be suggested? I still feel we're so so nearly there - we CAN do it, just seem to not be doing it?

If more funds were made available to McDermott over the summer and he decided not to use them then I suspect he may pay the price sooner rather than later.

Hitmen being summonsed? AZ was caught on camera by Sky at Liverpool shaking his head at the end. Signs of frustration at the very top is all. Plus we don't have the privilege of having BZ there very often, and he may be the main investor here, so he may have a say in any changes yet.

You are quite right, and mum said that I could stay up late tonight

And I still say that you were spouting, like many on here (predictable and bandwagon jumping) shit....but...that's just my opinion

bassavage Who would you get in who would make it any better? Changing managers, backroom staff and the like really wouldn't do anyone any good. Remember Derby in 07/08?

McDermott is the right man and he WILL keep us up.

well as I said up thread I'm leaning towards any replacement being foriegner - these next 2 games against QPR and Norwich are now absolutely massive and you have to say we need to take a minimum of 4pts from them - lose them both might not see the axe fall on Mcdermott , and he may still have a strong allie in Madejski but unless a couple of wins come in the next 4 or 5 games the Russians going to start seriously thinking about big changes.

I really hope you're wrong. It would be the worst thing to happen to this football club for years and years.
