ankeny Royal Lady was spot on about McDermotts signings, Pog aside, none of them were prem ready and if the money that we are lead to believe he was given then he missed the boat.Whether its Hammond holding him back I don't know but Anton will not let this go on much longer judging by the look of his face yesterday. How many players since he has been manager are first team ready to go players?

Saw that look on MOTD when they took the lead. If someone could get a copy of that it'd be cool.

howser With respect to the summer signings, there is obviously some problem with Guthrie, what it is ? who knows ?? McLeary looks to have something about him, Marriappa also looks to be a decent capture, work in progress at the moment with him, maybe, I think, Pog we just don't play to his strengths, at Fulham last season when he exploded onto the Premiership scene, he was in a team that played the ball through to him, his strengths are finding space for the the ball being played to his feet, he isnt a long ball "hold up" type of player, you can only presume that is why we got Guthrie in to provide the ammunition, but whatever the reason, there is a major breakdown there.
The one bright light is Nicky Shorey, he has just slipped back in as if he had never been away, some clubs just suit some players, the Shorey-Reading marriage would seem to be one these.

You're not asking for McDermott are you? He could be thinking of an additional insurance policy!

Cypry Lots of sharp upward knee action here...
We've yet to play any teams in the bottom 7 of the league! Let's see where we are after QPR, Wigan, Norwich and Villa before we start talking about kicking Brian out on his ear...
