Team for tuesday

by Delboy » 28 Oct 2012 11:55

What team for Tuesday, I do not think BM knows his best team yet so I would make changes for Arsenal.
Feds
Gunter, Pearce,Mariappa,Shorey
Robson Kanu, Leg, Mcanuff,Mcleary
Roberts, Hunt

Subs. McCarthy, Tabb, Kebe, Pog, Le Fondre, Cummins, Gorrks

Thinking - Need to see if Feds can get his confidence back.Want to see what Pearce and Mariappa can do together.
Midfield better balanced.
Upfront Roberts is better than the Pog and Hunt deserves a place.

McCarthy
Gunter
Pearce
Morrison
Harte
McCleary
Guthrie
Ledge
HRK
Hunt
Alf

With Obita and Samuel amongst the subs and to get a run out in the last 30.

Have we seen Guthrie and L,Wood play in a 4-4-2 together?? Can't remember those two together.

This would be my first 11 to play QPR as well

McCleary__L,Wood__Guthrie__McAnuff

Yes, against Stoke and West Brom. It wasn't very good.

Fair enough, the two games I've missed! So basically every combination has been ineffective

My team, although I think it's unlikely, would be:

____________Federici___________

Gunter___Pearce__Mariappa__Shorey

McCleary__Guthrie__Tabb__McAnuff

__________ALF_____HRK________

Gives a very good opportunity to test things out, especially the possible return of Gunter/McLeary for QPR
and also trying out Hal Robson-Kanu, one of the best finishers in the whole squad, in strike again.

This will give you a smile :-

--------------------------------------Feds------------------------------------

-----------------Pearce-----------Mariappa----------Gorks----------------

McLeary-------------Tabb--------Guthrie-----------Ledge--------Mcanuff

----------------------Roberts------------------Hunt-------------------------

Why not we have tried just about every other formation, play with the sweeper, both McLeary and Mcanuf can do the full back cover, and it allows Guthrie to dictate the play with two defensive midfield ball winners doing the donkey work.

Federici
Gunter, Mariappa, Pearce, Shorey
McCleary, Guthrie, Ledge, McAnuff
Roberts, Hunt.

Taylor, Cummings, Morrison, HRK, ALF, Tabb, Pog

I'd ideally prefer to give ALF a start, but I think it's more important to start giving a bit of time to the Roberts-Hunt partnership that was so successful last season.
