Arsenal will play a strong is side. Arshavin, gibbs, rosicky, Giroud??, OX, Walcott etc all expected to start due to the teams poor form of late.

We'll need to bring in Harte to nullify Walcott's pace

Knowing Reading, it will probably end with a home win. Echoes of 1987/88 when we get to a Wembley cup final and end up relegated.

Right now I'd rather play their sputtering first team
than their looking for place second-string

But, as I can't go, I fancy a very good game and we sneak a win, maybe pens.

Ian Royal If Arsenal put out a full strength side they'll give us a right spanking. 1-5 would be my guess. If they play a reserve / youth team they'll still win, but less convincingly. 2-3

Is this the Arsenal whose last 3 games were 1-0 loss to Norwich, 0-2 loss in Europe and 1-0 in the 84th minute v QPR?

I'm only aware of one Arsenal, so I imagine so.

Bad move.

I am also in away end as three Arsenal mates from around here got tickets. It will be a strange night.

You live and learn. Although I suspect they haven't played Norwich or QPR recently.

We will get spanked. Arsenal have a young team who will do well at Champ level. But oh well would rather concentrate on the league. Out of interest what was the score last time we played them at Highbury in the cup? I remember RVP and a young Fabregas playing and killing us.

Do they have the whole of the away end? Have they sold it out?

With the scores level at 1-1, Reading send on super veteran Mickey Thomas who smashes an 89th minute free-kick into the top corner to record a memorable victory.

Royals all focused on the next few league games. 3-1 victory pops up out of no-where, Tabb Hat-trick.
