The most embarrassing RFC result ever

by Tamworth_Royal » 30 Oct 2012 22:22

Reading are the first ever team in the either the League Cup or FA Cup to score five goals and lose the game.

FACT

Forgot the penalty call and the extra time in the 90mins

That was awful

hardly the most embarrassing game ever. There have been so many worse. Arsenal are not exactly the worst team in the world (even their ressies). The ref did cheat us out with that extra 2 mins at the end though.

by ManchesterRoyals » 30 Oct 2012 22:27

Sorry im fuming but u cannot lose a 4-0 lead at home

BM doesnt seem to have a clue about closing a game out

Saw it at swansea with his substitutions WRONG and again tonight WRONG

4-1 up half time take off a forward go 5 midfield or go the centre backs

Sorry i dont think BM has it

We have come as across as a joke and embarrassing

name the other results.

Just been described by 5 Live as the greatest ever comeback........... and it was against Reading football club. Expect this result to reach all corners of the world. Pathetic

Don't make excuses. That was absolutely shocking, an utter disgrace, and awful to watch. Tabb ran out of steam and we took the biggest shafting I've ever seen a team get for 40 minutes. Gunter was crap, Gorkss was an embarrassment, and Ledge went for a wander after half time. We only got into the position we did because of an un-gelled team with a hopeless goalkeeper.

No, getting creamed is getting creamed, that happens to the best teams every now and again. No team should ever go 4 up and loose like that.

The team did show the quality to go 4-0 up so we know it's there. However we must learn how to close games out. We did it v Newcastle, Swansea, Fulham & Chelsea too. That must fall with McD and although the man will always be a legend for the playoff final, cup runs and last season he has taken us as far as he can and is out of his depth. We must move quickly before it's too late. Redknapp? Poyet? I wouldn't mind the return of Sir Steve.

We have the players to keep us up we saw that in the first half, however they are a misdirected ship

No way as bad as 0-6 v Bristol Rovers or 1-6 v Crystal Palace.

Losing at home to Bishops Stortford FA Cup 1982 was pretty embarrassing as was losing to Hendon in 1976. Plenty more besides.

Like anyone gives a flying fuck about some lower league nothing game.

There will be people in remote African villages laughing at us tonight.

as mentioned before, losing 0-6 to Brizzle Rovers. I remember losing to Stevenage a few years back. And Northampton.

Didn't we get thumped about 6-1 at Tranmere a few years back?

Ridiculous over reaction from many on here as usual.

Perspective folks. We have just seen one of the most dramatic football games of all time in HISTORY and RFC played a big part in that. If we had put 11 in defence and Arsenal had won 1-0 most on here would be happy BUT we had a go at one of the great clubs and so nearly won. If the referee had not played 96 minutes instead of 94 we would have won!!

At least we showed spirit and fight - I am proud to support RFC tonight even if no one else is.
