Reading4eva Redknapp can be our brave new leader

Redknapp with some Russian Roubles will destroy this club.

Spurs aren't in bad shape. Portsmouth and Southampton was just atrocious management by there respective owners

southstand67 Arsenal just weren't in the game first half and made us look good! They were awful. Walcott scoring just before half time made me think that they were going to come out fired up second half.

We should have been better second half, but Arsenal wanted it more. Not embarrassed at all, if this had been against a lower league side then yes, but Arsenal are top 4 finishers for the last how ever long.

That was their reserves!

How many of their reserves were there? We get this every season that they are playing their kids, but which of them hasn't played first team football before?

Reading4eva I dread QPR in fact I dread the rest of the season. I am warming to the idea of Tranmere away now for next season

It's a good job you're not the manager then!

With motivating sentiments like the ones on the board right now, I reckon half the team would probably commit Harakiri if us Hob Nobbers were in charge at the club. The sign of a truly great team is one that can overcome a sht start to the season and a galling 4-0 to 5-7 to the Arsenal reserves with a win at QPR on Sunday.

Am not reading 3 pages of a shocking thread.

Embarrassing? - NO.

Cracking game. Ref was gagging for an Arsenal win. Lost by 2 goal margin.

Dreadful thread. Embarrassing wins were by big goal margins at home to Bury in the 70s

Most reserves have played first team football at some stage, it was still pretty much an Arsenal reserve team.

ManchesterRoyals Sorry im fuming but u cannot lose a 4-0 lead at home

BM doesnt seem to have a clue about closing a game out

Saw it at swansea with his substitutions WRONG and again tonight WRONG

4-1 up half time take off a forward go 5 midfield or go the centre backs

Sorry i dont think BM has it

We have come as across as a joke and embarrassing

I feel like this.

We can't defend simple set pieces

I'm no jinny come lately, having been following since 1985... But shipping a 4 goal lead like we did and then subbing our talisman before the game was won...

I'm on record as saying I prefer the championship, but going back in her manner that it looks like we may be is embarrassing... I can't see the new owner taking this lightly either...too much money at stake...

that kind of makes it feel even worse ... have to say I've been watching football for over 30 years now and I've seen quite a few games where the home team has lost 4-3 after being 3-0 up but I have never seen a game like that it's probably already won the game of the season award.

jd82 Let's get a bit of perspective eh....

Reading 5 - 7 Arsenal >>>>>>>>>>>> Reading 0 - 6 Bristol Rovers

You think losing by six goals is worse than pissing a 4 goal lead up the wall? I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you.
Platypuss No way as bad as 0-6 v Bristol Rovers or 1-6 v Crystal Palace.

Bloddy JCLs

Around for both thanks.

Fine you've added on 2 mins more than you should of. Why I don't know, the is REF IS A oxf*rd.

More annoyingly though

koscielny should have been sent off twice.

Face it, extra-time with 10 men having played 90mins, is a lot more difficult than 11. koscielny started the attack for the 6th goal as well.

But these are excuses, sorry McDermott but as much as I like you, you're tactically inept and should go.

At 4-2 Guthrie who should of been at least on the bench, should have come on and slowed the tempo.

Federici is SHIT

I can see why QPR got rid of Gorkss he is simply woeful and has been in every single game!

Reading are the first ever team in the either the League Cup or FA Cup to score five goals and lose the game.

Just to remind people

jd82 If i recall correctly, Jamie Cureton scored a hat-trick that night and we bought him at the next opportunity. Anyone fancy a January swoop for Walcott!

i wonder what happened to the other centre forward from that day!

why shouldn't the ref add on 2 more minutes ? the key word that people seem to fail to understand is that the extra time is a minimum of - not maximum that means the ref is entitled to add on anything from 4 minutes upwards.

Yea but these reserves have played for England (Walcott) and Russia (Arshavin) and Switzerland (Djourou). Arsenal do this every season - the only two players that haven't played for the first team are the keeper and that Miguel geezer oh and Yennaris. So they pretty much had a first 8 out didn't they?

All that's embarrassing is this thread appearing on a web site for Reading fans. I can accept the dismay at letting a 4 goal lead slip and the disappointment of losing, but to not start a post commending the team on their overall performance against a Champions League standard club playing world cup level players is beyond me. Some people need to get a grip. At least we can focus on the league now without the distraction of the cup!

It certainly wasn't a reserve side how little clubs might Reading might define it. Chamakh is a £15m striker for a start, and Jenkinson who you haven't mentioned has played every game this season iirc.
