As much as I love Brian and the lads this team is FUBAR right now. Heart, togetherness and spirit can only take you so far and this might be the end of the line for this group, the final nail in the coffin. I hate to say it but now I am convinced we just don't have the talent to compete at this level after coughing up a 4-0 lead to Arsenal's "B" team and shipping seven.

paultheroyal Aint gonna happen.

Cisse and Hoilett will have a field day running at that defence.

Well it won't be that defence and anyway, we've already won there this season

Cracking first half. It was like a dream. Second half, realised it was a nightmare.

Thought Roberts was superb. Defense, clearly, was lacking. Feds was 'ok' but just 'ok'. EVERYONE around me saw that second Arsenal goal coming - and knew where it was coming from... the team should probably have had a clue about that themselves!

Extra couple of minutes at the end of the added time - clearly the ref had bunged a few quid on a 4-4 normal-time draw during half-time - he was just waiting for Arsenal to score before he blew his whistle.

Still, 3 points at Loftus Rd followed by 3 more the following week and to be honest, I'll be able to easily forget this game. If we lose those too then I think we're going to get totally raped in December and enter the new year in tatters.

Getting rid of BMD isn't going to fix things. Giving him some decent wedge to spend might at least help though.

So it's official.

No other team has ever scored 5 goals in any cup competition in England and LOST.

What bothers me is that QPR only just lost to Arsenal's full strength side away last weekend, and we were smashed at home by their reserves.

I think Rangers must fancy their chances against us on Sunday after this result.

If Harry Redknapp comes to RFC I'm going frisbee my season ticket across the pitch so hard it lodges in his stupid melty face and he drops down dead on the touchline. Envelopes full of used notes will swirl into the misty Berkshire skies and fans will leap to catch them in scenes reminiscent of the finale of the Crystal Maze.

Excellent post. Added time was borderline fair though.

(and, hate to say it, but QPR are about to turn their form around, they've been playing much better recently!)

And Southampton.

The guy is a pcunt, pure and simple and can only be successful if he's basically given a blank cheque book.

Just watching it back now we've got in. Roberts went nuts at FT about the added on 2 mins.

"Melty face" - I like that. Redknapp does indeed have a face like a wedding cake that has been left out in the rain.
Brian could do something quite astonishing now and get a spirit of solidarity going in the team and win a couple on the trot in which case this match could be a turning point. Stranger things have happened, although, admittedly, rarely.

No, no, no...not Redknapp. If anything poach the fascist bastard from Swindon, DiCanio...

I'd prefer Brian to stay, just sayin' if a change "has to be made".

Can't say I hate him, but totally agree we don't want him anywhere near our club. He'd probably overspend and get us into financial trouble.

Seriously though, yes we are poor at the back but I blame the midfield. Ledge isn't good enough on the ball - constantly gives it away which actually led to their goal. We also need a central midfielder who will pick the ball up and run at the oppo, taking them on and having a go, similar to what Jobi does when he plays there.

Moronic post. Redknapp can only spend what the owner/DoF/CE let him spend.

I want Redknapp in. Because we're going down regardless and I want to see the Maguire card-frisbeeing thing.
