Schards#2 If the club is prepared to accept relegation and rebuilding then there's an argument for persevering with Brian, if they have serious asperations of staying up this year then they will surely act in the next few days as, at this level, Brian and the squad he molded in the close season is way, way out of its depth.

Agreed.

We are Premier League and I for one want to bloody stay there or make a bloody effort too.

This team spells relegation. Simple.

Changes need to happen and now.

For the record I love Brian but it's so bleeding obvious that this is step to far.

Change and change now.

Rax Cruelest defeat possible - topped off by the sky commentator quote "if it wasn't 4-1 than that would have been a penalty..." plus the 4 (generous) minutes of added time that turned into 5 - how??
If Brian gets the tin tack over that then we may as all "go and follow Chelsea!"

Really wondering if this Premier League lark is worth the hassle???

the added time is some thing that people really don't seem to understand the key word is minimum of 4 minutes - not maximum that means the ref can add on any thing from 4 minutes .

Correct. McD decides to make a pointless substitution 'to run the clock down' at 2min 30 sec into added time, substituted player decides to do the 'slow walk' off the pitch. referee watches his watch thro the whole process and adds the wated time on (plus a bit). Arsenal get the goal.

So please tell me, HNA experts, what exactly did that wonderful managerial decison achieve? Because I sure as hell dont know.

Had that conversation in car.

McDermott basically had a shocker.

Someone isn't very good at maths. If a game is to end on 95 minutes and it takes 30 seconds to walk off the pitch, the referee adds 30 seconds on that were consequentially lost. Net gain in time = NIL.

What it achieved was the ovation fro Roberts who had been superb.

Ian Royal I'd take McCarthy as manager.

Rather he stayed in goal, myself

Are you two being serious?

We need to stick with Brian IMO.

Annoying aside, admittedly, but does anyone have a link to the post-match interview? Don't have RFC Player...

Looking at that pic I can't help thinking: wouldn't Brian's head make a lovely mount for a clock?

Other potential uses for a sacked Brian:

- Replacement for the circa mid-80s Central TV ident.
- As one of the boiled eggs in the old TV AM credits.
- Roof for the London Planetarium.
- Brendan Rodgers' poodle.

Safe for now. But if we lose next two then the lure of 'arry may prove irresistable to Anton all depends how important he sees staying up this season.

"we have to go in 4-0". Says it all that anything other than a 4-0 lead and our manager has palpitations.

Hi Leon. I don't really think McDermott should be sacked, just daydreaming out loud about his perfectly bald head. Don't have a go at me just because we lost 5-7.
