The kneejerk reactions in this thread are terrific. Top stuff.

I'm sure McD will be setting the record straight with the players that letting a team come back from 4-0 down is simply unacceptable.

If he's savvy he'll be able to take a lot away from the performance - work out what isn't working and what is so that when it's time to play QPR, the team will be raring to go.

AthleticoSpizz ...and I was less shocked to lose that 4 goal lead than I was to get it

says it all really.

Agreed. Almost poetic.

I'm not sure. He hasn't spotted the issue during or after Newcastle, Swansea or Fulham. Why start now.

Spotting the problem is one thing - and it's absurd to suggest that he didn't notice us get overrun in midfield.

Being able to do something about it is rather different. Who exactly are these players we could bring in to suddenly become defensively solid?

Why? He's not looked anything special so far, and certainly not the answer defensively.

No i agree he hasn't looked special and def not defensive but by going to 4-5-1 might have seen us hold on to a 4-1 lead

No, i just watched the highlights and I am OK now. Lots of positives in a team with 6 changes and on another night it would have all been over in 90 in our favour and there would be none of this hysteria.

Meanwhile Fergie out! Dreadful capitulation by Utd against Chelsea. No, it seems no-one is calling for his head despite shipping 5 goals and blowing a lead.

No not deflated at all.

If we are not good enough at this level as is proving the case at this moment in time back to the championship we go.
