Sloths are deceptively dangerous although slow-moving. As you observe, their claws are razor sharp and human fatalities do occur. They are most likely to attack if disturbed while sleeping when they will fly into a violent rage, lashing out at anything within reach

Well, I think my concern is that I just wouldn't be able to keep my polar bear adorable for ever, and train it to realise that I'm not, and at no point will be, an acceptable snack for it. I just imagine a sloth would be easier to domesticate. But if I could do that with the polar bear, I'd definitely go polar bear.
