soggy biscuit Jut read that the official complaint is that Clattenberg said 'shut up Monkey'. It was Ramires that says he heard it but admits himself that he struggles to understand English. It is said that 3 Chelsea officials discussed this with Ramires afterwards because they are concerned his language problems and possibly Clattenbergs Geordie accent meant he mis heard 'shut up Mikel'

Yes, but Sideshow Bob has said HIS English is very good and he knows what he heard...apparently. If they weren't a joke of a club before, they certainly are now.

In Israel at the weekend Hapoel's Toto Tamuz was apparently being racially abused during the match and even had a banana thrown at him. He put his team 2-1 up and put his finger to his lips in a shhhhh gesture, the ref sent him off for provoking the fans.

Alexander Litvinenko Talk of Clattenberg instigating legal action for defamation of character.

And understandably so.

Any scope for the guy who raised the complaint to be charged with wasting police time?

Alexander Litvinenko Of course, all Chelsea fans have taken their new anti-racist stance on board :

Mr Angry So, on the basis of what a couple of players who barely speak English think they heard the ref say to one of their colleagues - who didn't hear anything - Chelsea FC make an offical complaint about the referee???

Seriously???

If this is proved to be bollocks, Chelsea should have some serious sanctions thrown at them, as they are clearly trying to undermine the integrity of a referee.

A fine simply won't do - it will have to be a points deduction; its THAT serious a false allegation, which has come directly from the club.

As predicated, this is an absolute car crash for Chelsea with zero upside and unlimited downside.

One persons word against the other. Would expect the FA to ban Clattenburg for 4 matches based on the probability he said a racial slur.

Has anyone considered that the 'man' circled in yellow isn't doing a monkey gesture but is actually a monkey. My understanding is that 50% of Chelsea fans are (the remaining 50% sit in corporate or watch on TV, switching their allegiance between Chelsea and Man U/City depending on recent results).

Yeah. Bear in mind that I know no hobnobbers if that is who it is. Looks just like someone I know who happens to be a Chelsea season ticket holder, which is odd.
