I'd quite like to see Tabb and Guthrie play together. I think it would work better than Guthrie and Ledge...

Players to come in:
Pearce
Mcleary
Hunt

Bench:
Kebe
Gorkss
Pog

I have benched those 3 as they have been thoroughly underwhelming all season and need a kick up the anal passage

Hmmm, in a team that has serious defensive issues is it sensible to play without a solid holding player?

I actually agree. I think the problem with Ledge and Guthrie is neither of them are atheletic enough.

Can you explain why you'd drop McAnuff? I don't understand the logic of dropping a main with 4 or 5 assists when he's our captain and is consistently performing at least ok.

McAnuff is a good player, but not good or important enough to play 90mins. I'd like to see HRK come on earlier than his usual 12mins.

I'd drop Cummings - he was suspect vs Liverpool and poor vs Fulham (and Gunter ain't any better) - and put Mariappa in at right back. Morrison and Pearce in central defence - Gorkss has made too many mistakes. Shorey on the left.

Midfield: McCleary, Guthrie, Ledge, Tabb, McAnuff

Hunt up front - he's been brilliant.

Yes! 4-5-1...

I think Guthrie needs someone a little more combatitative with him, and Tabb always plays the simple pass to someone a little more creative, which is impossible with Ledge next to him.

I'm in two minds about our wingers. I'd be perfectly happy with McAnuff playing and HRK coming on later in, but I'd also quite like a natural left footer on that side. However, Jobi doesn't seem comfortable on the right. I do think HRK has earned a chance. Something you wouldn't have heard me saying a season and a half ago.

Brian has confirmed Guthrie has picked up a small 'thigh injury' and so 'Won't be fit to play Sunday'. Hmm. Cover up or legitimate?

Either way, guess that leaves no choice other than a Ledge and Tabb partnership again. God knows how they'll be feeling, I just how they've recovered. My team would be:

McCarthy
Cummings
Pearce
Mariappa
Shorey
McCleary
Ledge
Tabb
McAnuff
Roberts
Hunt

Bench: Feds, Gorkss, Bryn, Kebe, HRK, Pog, Alf

Why would it be a cover up? He dropped him from the squad last week, surely if he did it last week he'd happily do it this week?!?!?

My team would be

======================= McCarthy =======================

Cummings ====== Gorkss ============== Maps ======= Shorey

=============== Tabb==== ========= Legs ========= ========

==Kebe================McAnuff======================HRK==

================ =======Roberts =========================

But it won't be it'll be 442 with Hunt and the Pog upfront instead of Roberts and HRK.

As said on the other thread - Pearce is starting for the U21's today, so he won't be playing Sunday - its more likely Morrison will be on the bench

Thank you for answering the question reasonably unlike most of the morons who've suggested dropping him when I've asked it before.

Oh good, so another game without our best performing defender and most talented midfielder. Joy.

I'm not so sure that many of the fringe players travel on the coach to first team games.

If Dominic Samuels tweet of 'On the coach on route to the hotel, QPR tomorrow' is anything to go by. We may well see him on the bench tomorrow being as Le Fondre played for the U21's.

With our defending ability or lack of it, our back line should have at least 2 double decker Buses and a Centurian tank to start with ?

You're right, I didn't realise he also played yesterday. It's nice to see him getting more involved at the sharp end now though.
