Gotta love Fergie, gently winding up the pressure with a defence of Clattenburg;

"I don't believe he would make comments like that," said Ferguson. "I refuse to believe it. It's unthinkable."

Still, Chelsea must be right because they've conducted "a thorough investigation, led by outside legal counsel and used information from interviews with Blues players and staff".

That wouldn't be the same legal counsel that helped Terry concoct his oh so believable "I was just repeating it back for clarity" defence, would it?

Chelsea, what an utter shower of Cs. A disgrace to the game.

So Alex Ferguson has come out and said he doesn't think Mark Clattenburg made racist remarks? Well obviously he's going to defend his players.

This is turning into a serious embarrassment for Chelsea.

Anders Frisk was once accused by Chelsea of chatting with the then Barcelona manager, Frank Rijkaard, in the officials’ room at half-time. This was proved to be inaccurate and wrong but Frisk received death threats that drove him into retirement.

Referee Tom Henning Ovrebo was branded a ‘thief’ and smuggled out of England by police for his own safety when Chelsea lost a Champions League semi-final to Barcelona again in 2009.

Ex-referee Graham Poll says a clique of Chelsea players made accusations that he had threatened to ‘sort them out’ when he sent off Terry. Their claims were later retracted.

Add too that Chelsea club secretary David Barnard is handling this Mikel dispute. He is the Stamford Bridge official who was shown to have altered witness statements in the Terry case and provided what the FA described as ‘materially defective’ evidence with ‘very real concerns’ about its accuracy.

Right now, the balance of probability is tipped about as far as gravity will allow, although Chelsea will probably demand action against Sir Isaac Newton for this.

Different reports in the Guardian saying Chelsea players did hear comments though. Sunday Supplement also said there are differing reports, so believe what you want to believe and only post up what you want other Reading fans to believe just because you don't like Chelsea. :lol:

i just find it amusing how serious people act about sorting out racism but when a team they is unfavored by the third estate it becomes a joke, like taking the mickey out of a rape victim and doubting them because of their demeanour. maybe it proves jason robertson right that racism is a big problem, and the mask of people who say they are staunch anti racists only occurs when its about someone they support.

Must be a different Guardian to the one I read. Got a link - or did you just "hear someone say that"?
