AthleticoSpizz five "results " from nine games in the Prem.

Yes, I can do the maths.............

Its November, nobody gets relegated in November

They don't, but lets not try and claim that a 0-5-4 record is a good one ..

nah, you're right, we should be beating the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea at their places. After all, this is our ninety seventh consecutive season in the Premier League...

It's more the 0 wins I'm concerned about than the 4 losses.

TheSiege Do not like sticking my neck out and being proved wrong (luckily it has never happened on this site!), but I believe that BMcD will still be with us next season regardless of the division we are in. Having said that, against all odds, I am starting to think that we may just avoid relegation. I think there will be changes in January and we just need to stay in contention until then. We will get a win in the next 4 games.

We're already 4 points off 17th and it's early November. Stay in contention for another 2 months? LOL

They just showed on MOTD that after 10 games last season Wigan only had 5 points. Keep the faith we can do it.

I was trying to be upbeat - when you compare us to Wigan I DIE!!!!!!!

:|

If this Reading team had half the talent of last year's Wigan side I'd be delighted.

If Anton means business, then we will be gone if we fail to beat Norwich.

There's some very fine margins at play here, and I don't think we're a million miles away from getting it right...
We've lost four in nine, and drawn the other five - no, we haven't had a win, but conversely, we haven't been turned over by anyone yet...

I reckon Brian will be given a lot more time by Anton than some believe - in a strange kind of way this is reminding me of the 2010/11 season, Brians first full one in charge, where we went on a series of losses and draws (I seem to remember 5 or 6 consecutive draws in the Autumn) before the arrival of Leigertwood and a second cup run in as many years saw us go on an amazing run and get to Wembley...

I'm not suggesting anything silly like us making Europe this year, but with such fine margins I think Brian will be given the benefit of the doubt as long as we don't suddenly capitulate and start losing heavily consistently...with him at the helm, there's always the chance that history will repeat itself and we put together a run of wins - we have a chance at that now, through November into December, with 5 games that could be considered "winnable", another crack in February with a run of 3 against Sunderland, Stoke and Wigan, and finally another run in April with Southampton, Norwich and QPR split up only by Liverpool at home...

Win a decent percentage of those, plus the home game against Villa, and pick up a couple of bonus wins against the likes of West Brom, Newcastle or Fulham, keep the goal difference respectable and it's easy to see we're not sunk yet....we only need three teams to do worse than us, and as it stands if any team from Swansea down goes on a bad run, then they'll be dragged into the mire....conversely, a couple of wins for us and things will look a whole lot rosier...

don't think he will but with a tough game home to Everton to follow and then away to an improving Wigan we desperatly need to get 3pts against Norwich - I reckon he'll last the month but if we are getting near to Christmas and still looking for our first win then I honestly can't see Mcdermot being here in the new year.

I think if we were to replace Brian the new manager would need all of December to see which areas need strengthening in the window. Can't see it happening though the boys responded well to the Arsenal game I suppose it wasn't a disaster but still not an ideal result against the bottom side of the league.

Could of all been different if Kebe had picked out HRK on his run during the last few minutes that was greedy of him! But ........ he does what he wants!
